NIce... gonna check mine. I get wind noise... more than I'd hope. Maybe there's a way to improve.

Has anyone found the solution to wind noise, which sounds like its coming from right rear door or window?
I tried putting tape around rear door and window, but couldn’t tell any difference. I have just about decided it’s just the nature of the beast since so many people are experience the same problem.
I get same noise. Not aware of a solution.

Any update? I kind of want to do something about this. I sat in the passenger seat recently and noticed way less wind noise. Obviously something going on with the driver door. Mine almost sounds like it’s coming in from behind the tweeter but it could be playing tricks on my hearing.
I haven't bothered with it yet, but my Ranger is going in for its last free oil change today so I'm going to mention my list of warranty items that need to be fixed. I can report back with what they say.

I like Phil’s suggestion with the stethoscope. I have this whistle and will report back after I test a few things mentioned here and then possibly the stethoscope. 2020 lariat scab, whistle above driver door. Phil mentioned a few spots that could be related to this, door seal issue or improperly seated speaker. I have a hunch it’s near the side mirror gaskets on the door or somewhere on the door as I press on the door from the top window outside while driving and the sound disappears.

I mostly have this solved, at least for my truck. Both doors and entire back panel coated with Noico, then two layers of felt in front of the rear cab vents. We can now hold a pleasant conversation at any speed on any pavement. The noise is not completely gone, but is no longer bothersome.

So far I have been enjoying the new ranger, but one thing that has really been annoying is the whistling noise created by the wind on the drivers side door. The other door appears fine. I have tried cleaning the weather stripping and nothing has seemed to help.

Just wondering if anyone has run into this and what they may have done to fix it?

There have been some reports of wind noise. My truck has a little bit, but not enough yet to make me search it out.

Since it's a new truck, if it's obvious then take it to the dealer. They will fix it.

I can certainly try that, I just assumed wind noise wouldn't be covered under warranty.

Hi OPhil,

Bumper to Bumper means everything in between is covered.....Wind noise is part of NVH and is suppositorly covered.

Best,
Phil

I've never had a whistle, but a slight bit of wind noise that is more so than most other car's I've driven. Just above my left ear but can't figure out if it is the driver's window or behind me. I haven't figured out a solution to my particular issue yet, but for the whistle you might want to try using some black silicon caulking all away around the small gap between the side mirror trim and the door.

Someone else pointed out that the trim pieces on the XLTs that cover where the puddle lights on the Lariat are was an infiltration point too. You can try caulking there too.

I just worked the caulking into those gaps and made sure to wipe any excess away.

Hope that suggestion helps.
