…ok it didn’t make me, but it made it too enticing. I loved my ‘20 FX2 but with car prices the way they are and low inventory (my dealer had Chevy Corvettes on the showroom floor) I couldn’t resist. I got my truck on D-plan pricing and a 1.5yr later and 20k miles I only lost $1k.
I’ll own one again, or maybe a Bronco, but we’re saving for a home down payment now and I was able to walk away with a sizeable check to add to it. The dealer now has it listed for $31,800. Crazy times

With these crazy prices the dealers/Carvana are offering I don't blame anyone for selling. It'll help with a good deposit on a house and maybe when the next gen Ranger comes along things will have calmed down by then and there might be some better deals. There's talk of a Ranger Raptor and that's what I'm holding out for. Good Luck!

I traded in my 2019, the dealer gave me 5k more than I paid for it on black Friday 2019. It had 24,000 miles. I got the last 2021 Ranger they had on the lot for MSRP pricing. I basically broke even but got a lower interest rate and shorter term. It was refinancing with extra steps.

i sold my tacoma for 3k more than i paid in 2018. i wasnt planning on selling, but the math made sense. so far- the ranger has addressed everything i hated about the tacoma ( engine and tranny). the ranger was also a 2020 leftover and the messed up the price. so the ranger cost me 8g all said and done.

flash forward- all the dealers now have the same truck with a 5k markup on them! so timing was in my favor for once.

For sure the house will increase in value (averaged over time) but the truck will (eventually) depreciate.

I leased a 2019 Sport XLT 2x4 in August of 2019. I got a decent deal with the equity I had in my 2018 WRX lease. My tires were beginning to wear and I didn't feel like forking out money for a borrowed truck so last week I went to see what I could do about turning in my lease early for a new truck of the same trim level. It turns out I had $11K in equity and theygave me some choices. I could lease an XLT FX2 for about what I was paying for my 2019 (my original plan) and not make a payment for a year, or I could make an upgrade and still bring home a check.

I wound up getting into a lease for a 2021 Tremor XLT for about $30 a month more than what I'm paying and a check for $2200! My Tremor was purchased "In transit" and should be here any day now. I get to keep my 2019 until it shows up. I'm quite happy with the deal.

I plan to hold out until the full size Bronco is more readily available, but I may just fall in love with the Tremor.

Ah man, thought you traded in for the Vette haha. Can't blame you. I thought once or twice about trading in and getting an F150 but I love this Tremor too much. Not to mention, XLT FX4 F150 with the 3.5L were $62k Sticker, not sure why the difference over the Ford site. That does not include the 4k markup either but that makes me happy we got our Ranger Tremor in April for MSRP....which I was not super happy about at the time.

Heck, if pre owned prices hold long enough I can trade my little Super Cab for a loaded up Bronco some day. :bandit: :giggle:
