Ambient lighting in the lariats

What are people doing in their cars while driving that requires this lighting?

Tired, and not reading all the way through, the ambient lighting is one thing I thought I'd like that I just... don't. My biggest problem is that all the lighting on the buttons and switchgear stays the same teal. So when I switch the ambient lighting to anything else, it clashes. If it changed all the lighting in the truck I'd love it but as it's implemented, meh.

It is neat that the lighting in the door handles flashes red when you open the door though.

why put something in that is so completely useless.

It's one of the obvious instances where they were trying to save a buck but felt they had to do something in order to have a line item to differentiate the trim levels and justify the associated price bump.

+1 ..... YES, THE CUP HOLDERS! WTF FORD!!!!

Weird, the ford website for the 2021 lariat says it should have cup holder lighting but mine doesn't..
