Just a few days for me, but I activated my account while I was sitting at the dealer waiting to do the paperwork.

As an aside, do the points expire? I haven't even started to look into buying stuff, but unfortunately the local dealer that I would be using tried to pull some shady stuff with me (bait and switch, if you can believe it) so I went to a dealer over 2 hours away to make the purchase.

Plus I'm not throwing away $210.00 in fear Ford knows where I might be going. I hate all this tracking stuff too but If you're not doing anything illegal than I wouldn't worry about it. Heck my city (and most of AZ) has traffic cameras on every stop light. I'm sure they know more about where and what I do than Ford does.

So you are selling your liberty for $210. You're a cheap date.

It's the principle that's the issue.

What pisses me off is their arrogance, like it's their truck and they'll do whatever they want with the software, upload updates whenever they want, and sell your data to whom ever they want.

Have you ever heard of "Your Car, Your Data"?

The folks Ford in the FORDPASS help dept are FULL of excuses. they say 30 days for a new vehicle purchase. Waited 32 days. Not there. Had to open ticket, and told I had to wait ANOTHER 30 days for them to research it. Blamed it on a system glitch. Complained to the dealer, they just entered my points manually, and I used them before FORD F***ed with them.

Trust me I hate the thought of being tracked all the time but it's inevitable in todays society. I mean your phone and computer are tracking you, every store has cameras you cant get away from it! So there's just certain things in life now I try not to stress over and this is one of them. Unless you're totally off the grid someone somewhere knows where you are and what you're doing. At least I have $210.00 of free accessories to show for it.

I'm not all into the 'tracking thing' but I did want the GPS to work to locate the truck for insurance purposes. Don't know if they are combined.

My Fordpass points were available on the SAME DAY of purchase. I don't get why everyone's is taking so long.

Now I've got something interesting. I've been paying for my oil changes with Fordpass points but they have not been deducting them ever. In fact I get them added on for the value of the oil change, and then I got some added on for the value of service of our other Ford.

Started with 42,000 or whatever it was. Had 4 oil changes so far. I have 45,000 Fordpass points now. Going to just stop using them now to be fair. Maybe my account is broken, or maybe they somehow linked me to a different account that doesn't work right or something which might explain how I got my points say day of purchase. But I'm pretty sure I used up all my points and maybe then some.
