I drove my wife to the Subaru dealer so she could pick up her new Forester Sport. I really wanted a Bronco Sport but it can't touch the Subaru for options for the value. Similar Bronco options would have been $7000 more and no deals to be had right now. It's our families 6th Subaru so she's also comfortable with it and they're great in the snow. Still have the Ranger for the serious off road needs.

The salesman loved the Ranger. ?

No doubt they're going after Subaru with the Sport. I think they'll do well but the Forester is a heck of a vehicle for the money and they have incredible brand loyalty.

It’s important that everyone in the family is happy.
Good try as far as suggesting the Bronco. But certainly the smarter decision prevailed ?.

Hi Folks,

I spent a couple hours trying to get my wireless key pad synced to my truck. Tried several techniques including the one in the 2019 Ranger Service Manual... NOTHING worked.. Looks like a very expensive paperweight from Lefittown Ford...not their fault... The push button start seems to be part of the equasion. Tired of dead end google searches as well.

I refuse to take it to the dealer and pay to have it installed. So into the junk drawer it goes with a bunch of 4G key fobs from my days at Ford...

best,

That’s a bummer Phil.
My money is one you figuring it out and telling us about very soon.
We really appreciate all you add to the forum.

Hey Doc, Neil ( @ndwgolf ) does what makes Neil happy. We may not understand it - I know I don’t - but I’m okay with it. I think that some of us here on the Ranger5g forum, border on being a cult. In Thailand, the fascination with the Ranger is nothing less than a full-on fetish. I think Neil even has F-150 tailgate decals on his Ranger. Why? Because he likes them. Dude spends a ton of Thai Baht on his truck - on stuff I would never buy. But then, people wonder why the heck I have bolt-on style fender flares on my XLT. Like I said, Neil does what makes Neil happy. I mean, it’s not like he installed a tailgate damper for crying out loud.
