I wont argue that it is between the luxx and the Pro for me. I'm curious pf the lumen output of the luxx is on each projector?Here's the DRL on the Luxx.
While I have the Luxx, I'm still interested in how the Pro with LEDs look. Wonder if the cutoff is the same which would be a cool option (and possibly better than the Luxx with the ability to change bulbs).

So just to help dumb this down for others and making sure I'm understanding correctly the driving light module is only going to dim the alpha Rex driving lights when the vehicle driving lights come on correct? And if we do not hook up the driving light module it will not do this?And with this, there's one thing to be clear about.

Stock DRL is low-voltage low-beam activation (with switch in auto mode), which works with or without the DRL module from alpha. The impact of the DRL module to the headlights is to dim the DRL when vehicle DRL (low-beams) are triggered, and to manage the startup sequence without turning lights on.

So, you're right. It's pretty close to how you describe it.
With the module installed, the LED bar will come on as soon as the ignition gets power. It will stay at that given brightness (full) until the vehicle DRLs trigger (switch in auto and put in gear) or some lights are turned on (parking or full). In either case, the LED will dim upon activation.
I'm happy to help answer questions, I did a lot of tinkering during install yesterday to answer questions that Alpha couldn't even answer for me about their own product.

Essentially the Alpharex DRL module is the "shortcut" to powering the LED bars, otherwise they fall back to the standard harness which provides no power until lights are turned on.
