What did you do to your Ranger today?

Installed the Lasfit canbus switchback parking/turn signal LED’s today......but not without a bit of drama as I dropped one in the housing (see my post in the Lighting section).
They look great - and no hyperflash (these have built in resistors).

The last I had looked this wasn't clearly documented. I would love to do this as it messes with my hearing aids and causes them to generate white noise. How easy is this to do?

This thread Disable explains it, but basically download latest Forscan and select enhanced engine sound and set to disable in the acm module.

I'm confused on what is fake about it, I've seen a lot of people disable it but never hear an excessive engine noise. Maybe I just play my music too loud

Got it back from the body shop today, just in time for icy weather here. My old junk box ranger in the back.

Dropped mine off at the bodyshop after a round of hail damage last week. Hope they get it back good as new.

I "think" that it may have made deeper tones available if in cab. I personally feel that the "pressure to me" is lesser and I hear more tire noise/road bumps than I did before. Radio sounds cleaner/clearer (I play 60's on XM 24/7 if driving and some USB stuff)...maybe crisper is the word??

caveat is that it may be all in my head, but I don't think so.

Did you need to get a free extended license to make the changes? I registered on the site but are still waiting for admin approval if I did need to get this.

I actually purchased an annual to get the additional uses, but yes, get the free one to get going. If you need more "power" later on, the consider upgrading the license.
