Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

I tried that chat function mentioned above. It was worthless. Gave the rep my dealer# and the Order#. She couldn't tell me anything. I emailed the General Manager at my dealership (who I have been working with for over a year now) after that. He is going to check on the status today for me. Yes...mine is a stock order versus a retail one. Was told changing it to retail a month ago would not get it built quicker. He did say they were told at a meeting this week that accessories are available now for the Ranger. No idea as to what accessories that statement covered. Told him the only accessory I needed from Ford was the Touchlink bed lighting one.

Updating my status here, just checked the order tracking site this morning and I now have a delivery date of 4/7/19. April can't come soon enough!

I know NC is closer than Oregon, but it seems weird it should take an additional 2 weeks (we have the same build week). I'm hoping that all these delivery dates are the classic "Under promise and over deliver". From some of the posts, it sounds like they can come in earlier than expected. I found out my build date is 3/13 but the expected delivery isn't until 4/14? That just seems WAY too long. I guess I will find out in a couple of months.

I hope I do take delivery the week of 3/31 but don’t really expect too. I’ve ordered half a dozen cars and trucks from a variety of manufacturers and I can’t think of a delivery date that was actully met. This is the first time I have had a manufacturer actually provide a way to keep updated in the progress. I race to my phone every morning to see if anything has changed.

I hope the dates are close; I have a truck I am planning to sell and don’t want to get rid of it too soon.

Don't sell until it's been built, released and shipped. I sold my old Ranger about 3 weeks to delivery, but whoops my order was delayed another 3 weeks.

Great advice. Thanks. I will hold on as long as I can. I am fortunate enough to have another car to drive around town. However, I prefer to take a truck to the NC mountains this time of year just in case it snows.

That is pretty cool! When its delivered you can print it off and have it framed right next to your Title. What an adventure!!
