After I put on wider and bigger tires I am. Especially on the lowers doors. Even with flaps and side steps. I'm considering touching up the chips, then having the lower doors wrapped in protective film.
I was thinking the exact same thing to do there is this new paint chip technic I watched a video on last night but can't think what's it's called right now. Where you apply the paint then wipe it with a chemical they give you along with color match paint from fords paint code. You know what I mean?

Had the truck 4 months and 5k miles and it had 16 chips on the hood edge. I had to install a deflector. The paint on these trucks is just unforgivably thin.
I put a bug deflector on right away.
Mine is also lower doors like the other guy said.

I installed a bug deflector immediately, and also had 3M protective clear shield installed on the hood, rockers, mirrors, tailgate, door edges, inner door handles, sill plates, etc.. I have however managed to get a chip on my roof, heard the rock hit - checked after and there's a chip.

I'm going to check around tomorrow to see who does that 3m shield around here. Thanks man.

Which deflector does everyone prefer? Preferably in smoke coloring.

That sucks. Has to be a defect in the paint or something.
I had so many small spots of missing paint I couldn't live with it. I know it happened when I got peppered with small pebbles driving to work this spring during highway repaving. It was a whole week it got worse and worse. ?

I have noticed a lot of chipping as well. From the good to the side panels, especially on the edges of the doors. I started being extra cautious of opening my door because the paint chipping is getting so bad.

Not paint related but a side note, I also noticed the rear door seals getting holes in them.
