Hi Folks,

My Ranger and I headed the 1 mile to the UPS store to pick up my meds and mail from our mail box after hours as I have a key to the front door. What a mistake! I wanted to get home to a nice Scotch on the Rocks and this guy is just gushing over my Ranger. I spent quite a bit of time in the parking lot showing him the various features etc. Think he might just be buying one...so delayed, but enjoying the after dinner Scotch!

OK, Phil

Don't rub it in. Since my transplant the thing I still miss most Is my Manhattan ( brandy of course) with my Friday night fish fry (Also a Wisconsin thing). Been dry for a year and a half, just past 6 months on the new liver. Seriously, I've had the same parking lot conversations over my Ranger. Always fun when it starts out with "Is that the new Ranger?" Enjoy your Scotch!

I just got the 1st oil change at the dealer (with Ford Pass Points), "The Works" was $50. I asked the young tech doing it before he took it in, to please check the oil and drain plug for dirt/debris, and when he was done, he said the oil was clean, almost like new. Well, I got the Ranger right after Christmas and by now only have 3,000 miles on it in 8 months, but we're heading to Bethany Beach, DE tomorrow for 2 weeks and I wanted it checked based on what some of you guys were saying. It doesn't have a magnetic drain plug from stock, so I'm going with what the service guy told me. BTW, he was loving my HPR Ranger with the few doo-dads I added, he said it made it look slightly/understated custom. This dealer seems to love black, silver and saber, those are the 3 on the lot, and that's what he usually gets in. Strange taste, no white, red, blue, yadda yadda...

Think I'm averaging 20.2 mpg for the 3,000 miles, this will be a nice little test trip, only about 200 miles. Wife is complaining, she wants to take her Escape, but I put my foot down. By that I mean I whined and held my breath until she said OK  Personally, I love the ride.
Way to hold your ground to get to drive your truck ?. Agree with what the guy servicing your truck said. HPR is a great color, although since that’s what I have I am maybe a little biased. Have a safe trip.

Picked up my 2019 lariat 4x4 In April and ever since I’ve been struggling with the idea of how much chrome there is... and not enough black!

yeah maybe I should’ve waited for a fancy appearance package but I was already sold on everything else! And with the discovery of plastidip, I don’t have to worry about permanently changing anything if the result was not to my liking... which you tell me! I don’t plan to stop since my ranger still has plenty of room for making it my own. Definitely have plans to do the fun/awesome mods down the road. The towing package is kind of a bummer after the fact but once I figure that out, it’ll be the small stuff I’ll getexcited about for now lol.

figured it would be easier to do the outer grill and tape up the middle section, leave a couple chrome bars. Picked up the emblem sticker off easy, think it’ll look nice.

Hellll yah, that looks good! Heard they were a PITA, and I eventually got it. Waited about 3 hours before I did. I waited about 25-30 minutes in between each coat, 5 coats in all. I highly recommend the the aerosol can handle attachment, really helped apply the coats evenly and little effort...I will tell you I’ve made a couple of noob mistakes...
Like not seeing a corner of masking that forced me to cut it out of the bottom of the top/inside trim..?

ohh and please don’t do what I did and not check to see if the nozzle is pointing straight when the handle is claimed on... caused it to spatter and throw big globs of paint all over the passenger side of the grill. Had to dap it and fill it in with the remaining 3 coats ?‍♂.

but you can hardly notice from a far!!

Attempted to get an oil change this morning. Two different places told me "nish nish". Something about the oil filter being hard to access with their style of bays. The first place felt bad and offered free wipers for my time.

Guess I'm stuck with the dealer for oil changes? I've never seen anyone mention something like this on here. Oh well, gives me an excuse to have the latest TSB performed and maybe even address the awful smell from AC vents...

Maybe it is because they want the oil filter accessible from below? Maybe the guy in the trench is supposed to drain the oil and change the filter while the guy up top is supposed to just fill the oil and check the other fluids? Just guessing.....The filter is not hard to get to at all and contrary to some reports you absolutely don't have to remove the tire to get to it.

FYSA all - Free shipping on ScreenProTech orders this weekend.

We just have to DM them on Instagram. Saves $9.

https://instagram.com/screenprotech?igshid=eupqfm44zoaq

Seem kind. I ordered without the code (hadn’t seen it yet). They refunded shipping on their own before I noticed/could ask.

When temps dropped a bit I installed the Screen Pro Tech screen and gauges protectors.

Simple enough install. As the company advised, after a few days the adhesive set, reducing initial ‘fog’. They’re clear now and the displays look new; can no longer see the few Armor All spots on the plastic).

Happy with the end state and would recommend.

Gave it a nice bath today...picked up a small electric pressure washer with a foam cannon. Worked great. Its love bug season now and they are awful. Almost need sandpaper to get them off. The pressure washer worked good with a little elbow grease they came off.
Then rain-x on the windows and they look pretty good.
Washed both “older sister“ (2017 Escape) and the “younger brother“ (2019 Ranger).

I like the black and silver look I got going with it too. That specific tag just worked! War Eagle and ready for some football!

Fingers crossed man! I'm really excited about an all SEC season. I just hope it isn't canceled!
