Thank you all for your help. Just called the dealer for a price. Fingers crossed.

Kinda jealous!
I was shopping hard for the exact spec truck I wanted; 4-door STX FX4 in Lightning Blue or Magnetic Gray. It seemed like a rare truck to find at the dealership, but I found one in blue local exactly like that. It looked really good but the dealer wouldn't play on the pricing AT ALL. I ended up in a slightly used XLT FX4 and it turned out to be an awesome value and I like some of the extra features it has.
It's the same around here John. XLT's a plenty, but that is the bread and butter truck trim. Quite a bit of bang for the buck. There's very few 2 doors of any trim. I was lucky my dealer had an XL with no options so I could get a test drive.

My salesguy was surprised when I told him I wanted a Super Cab. He said folks always want the Crew Cab. I already have a 4 door vehicle in my stable (my Avatar), so the 2 door was all I needed.

Tim, just the approx. 6 mile test drive of one on the lot told me I'mma gonna like it. I knew the route I wanted to go, and it had interstate, rural, and a pot holed road to get a good feel for the truck. Rides, and drives great. Quiet as a tomb inside.
It is one of the quietest vehicles I've ever owned.

Post your order specs if you can.

Congratulations! You won't be disappointed, but the waiting is hard....

Rob, I just needed a simple truck, and of course the Ranger was the best bang for the bucks. There's not a lot of competition in this mid size truck line in my opinion. I've driven Ford trucks all of my life per my Dad's suggestions, but I wanted to give the others a look see to be fair. It was a hard pass on the Nissan's. The Toyota is running on an ancient platform, the Colorado/Canyon....that's about all I can say about those two, and the Ridgeline just ain't no real truck. So, it was the Ranger at the head of the pack almost from the get go. So, here she be with some decisions thrown in by the CEO/CFO of my humble empire.

Super Cab XL in Lightning Blue
STX apperance
101 A
Ford 360
Sliding rear glass
Carpet
Read Seat Delete. (This was one of the biggest draws of the XL as I wanted the storage space without going to the Crew Cab. That along with the 6' bed made it the right choice for me.

Keep us informed as your order progresses (build dates, etc). As I said, I know the waiting is hard, but there is nothing better than getting a new vehicle EXACTLY as you want - no compromises.

This is one of the finest Vehicles I've ever owned, not just a truck, i think you'll be very happy with your choice. The only Achilles heal of the truck boiled down to the FX shocks, which really are terrible. Yours will be a regular suspension, but if you find it a bit harsh, the Bilstien ot Eibach strut/shock upgrade will fix that! Your gonna love the truck. C.

Good choice on the Lightning Blue. It is the fastest color, Ha Ha.

While that might be true, the white ones raise your IQ by about 40 points and make you look about 30 pounds thinner.

I test drove the FX and non several times. I agree the FX was too stiff for my daily driver So I ordered the super cab without it. Love the ride. Very comfortable.

Tim, I had considered the FX2 package, but from the comments about the ride I passed. Like you I wanted a softer ride.
