Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Trying to figure out how long I'm going to wait if I do the unthinkable and resubmit my order this week. Anyone put in a new order recently, do we have an estimate yet? I guess either way, I'd rather get what I want and be happy with it, just trying to prepare myself

I would think that doing a new order would just make you start over again - unless there was some big screw up that your dealer did (like we have seen in a few occasions here). It seems like it would just put you at the back of the line again.

So my window sticker populated this morning! (yes, I have been checking every day )

It has a blend date of 01/28/19.

Well, I got the VIN 11/15, and the window sticker populated today 1/23, but my build date is 2/1. I think getting the window sticker is more dependent on your build date being near than when you got your VIN.

Thanks for the info! I just noticed that your VIN date is in your signature. Yeah, I would imagine that the sticker depends on when the build date is. As of a week ago, unless something has changed and the dealer hasn't told me, I still only have a build "week" and not a build "day". I'm just a bit anxious and was wondering how long it would be before i could expect to see the sicker. Thanks again!

Hey! New here. I wish I knew this site was around while I drove myself crazy the last couple of months trying to get info on the new Ranger. I must’ve watched 1000’s of hrs of YouTube videos, read news articles, etc...I’ve been reading the forums here the last 2 days, and clearly this is the site I should’ve been on. Anyway, I ordered my truck on 9/17. Apparently it’s supposed to be delivered on the 25th. Last digits of the VIN# 03488.

I'm the guy that DID switch to a new dealer. I would recommend to just wait it out with your current order unless there is more to the story.

There was an underlying reason I did switch--dealer #1 has an F Rating with the BBB (I found that out after having issues). Although I did get a 3/11 build week for a 12/13/2018 order with dealer #2, I can find my cancelled 8/25/2018 order with Dealer #1 and the VIN on it is 45 higher than the VIN with dealer #2. Go figure that one out!

To answer your question, Ford is scheduling for 3/11 and 3/18 this week according to Ice Capades on the Blue Oval Forum. My observations are that scheduling typically happens on Thursdays, and notifications from dealers are Fridays and Mondays. If you submitted your order tomorrow, it will take 1-3 days to get the ROVP approval. You probably should allow a couple of weeks for Ford to schedule it after ROVP approval. so, I'm guessing your build week would be 3/25 or 4/1. That's all just my best guesswork from the limited info out there.

Just received an email from my dealer stating that "all unscheduled retail Rangers in the system will be batch scheduled the week of 1/21"

Has anyone heard any more info on this rumor? I was hoping my truck would get scheduled this week, but thus far I've heard nothing - although I have heard that they usually do updates on Thursday and Friday (I got my VIN on a Thursday or Friday).

Mine was scheduled late last Friday (1/18) and it seems several others are starting to get updates as well. Word on the street is Thursday is the day for updates and your dealer should know something by Friday.

Just got an update from my dealer via email:

Morning Josh,

Great news! The status of your Ranger as of today is " IN PRODUCTION / SENT TO PLANT " ... looks like they moved the build date back to 1/28 & it might be produced this week.

There's no ETA yet but we should have one by Monday.

Now if it keeps on moving this fast we may have the truck here before mid February but will see.
