2nd oil/filter change at 2150 miles. Looks good, smells good, not a hint of fuel dilution. It took about 20 minutes, which is considerably less than the first one.

Haven't changed my oil yet, only 3,000 miles since I got it after Christmas (8 months). My formula is: (Semi-retired) + (Covid-19) = low mileage
Is it best to change early, or go the distance?? I usually don't change early on new cars, say the past 20 years. What are most people doing?? Plus I used to change oil myself (back in the day, much younger), but not so on my last '16 Mustang, '18 Focus, 3 Fusions for work, or wife's last 3 Escapes!

We have our oil/filters changed every 5K miles-ish. It's worth the money and peace of mind to know someone is looking at the workings of my vehicles every few months and seeing into things I cannot see for myself.

I had my first one done right around 3000 miles. My dealer gave me 2 years free oil changes but even so I like to do the first one sooner than later. After that I usually do it around every 5000 or so.

Like you I use to do them myself but now I just let the dealer do them especially since they're free. I do check everything before leaving just to make sure it's topped off and there's no leaks.

I usually go 5000 between oil changes, but I guess I have an old-school view of how to break-in a new engine. That, combined with troubling reports of serious oil dilution with gasoline, pushed me to change at 500 and 2000 miles. The next one will be at 5000, probably done at the dealer, where they will also install the engine block heater that I am waiting for.

At least every 5k miles. Like everyone else is saying, that first one you may want to do prior to 5k.

I'd do mine, but it's just so damn hot out all the time. Only at around 2,100, so maybe next month when it cools down.

Was across the border last night in NY state. Filled up with 93 octane for the second straight tank since it was actually affordable. $3.19 in Pa, $2.69 in NY. Thanks a lot Governor Wolf.

Pulled the SPD hi-flow cat downpipe back off and wrapped it. Put it back on and uploaded the new tune. Drove it and got gas in preparation for Hurricane Laura's arrival. Talk about some smoke. Man, the high temp silicone spray smokes like a mofo when it burns off and cures. I thought the truck was on fire as well as everyone at the gas station.
The one negative about the SPD downpipe and exhaust is the super ricer sound. Not a fan and not a rice boy. Not sure what to do. I am actually considering pulling the SPD cat back exhaust off and putting the factory exhaust back on.
