Yeah, I guess I'd rather pay the $80 to have it turned off then have a night light always on. Guess it's not enough to run down the battery? Or does it turn off when the car is off? Either way, my kids in the back seat would never leave that alone so it wasn't a real option for me anyway.

Nite light turns off when the truck is turned off. Paint it black and maybe the kids won't bother it?

keep us informed.?
It works. As long as you have a smart phone that draws power from the charger when the batteries are fully charged. That means you can use a 110volt to USB charger.

https://www.quora.com/When-the-phone-is-fully-charged-and-we-keep-it-connected-to-the-charger-will-the-phone-draw-energy-directly-from-the-charger-sparing-the-battery#:~:text=Yes, the phone will draw, charger, thus sparing the battery.

I had navigation going from Google maps.

It's a bit inconvenient having to reach behind the seat to plug in a 12 volt USB charger. I bought that adapter so someone in the back seat can have access to a 12volt socket in case they have their own charger.

My auto stop started turning itself off every single time I start the truck around 14,000 miles. Thank god.
Hey, if it turns itself off, it really is an "auto-stop"! I'm still turning mine off by hand every time I start the truck, not that I mind....

I love almost everything about my Ranger. My only complaint is that I can't park it anywhere in public without being swarmed by women asking if I'm single. I thought maybe it was just my rugged good looks but I never had that problem with the 1986 Yugo I traded in for my Ranger. ?
One of the very first mods I did to resolve this very issue was put a large spatula in the glovebox to scrape off all the adoring women. :sunglasses:

Years ago when gas was starting to really spike up in price, I bought a used Saturn SW2 station wagon to drive as a commuter.

There was a big spatula left in the dash so my friends and I figured it was for scraping off all the fawning females.

Therefore, the SW2 was dubbed the CMX or Chick Magnet Extreme.

It was a terrific little car. Drove it 3 years and sold it for more than I paid for it.

Oh, one more Ranger complaint that has already been mentioned but came to the forefront of my consciousness yesterday when I was able to use grocery points to get $1 off per gallon at the pump. The tank is too small.

I used to have an old F150 with dual tanks. Not sure how much they held but it was a LOT.

For disabling the A.S.S I just pop the shifter into S. It seems easier to me than pushing the button.

Advise to all: my roof rail straps that are satin black, noticed 'blemishes' under the paint a few months after I got it during weekly washes. It got worst over the winter so I brought it in at 1yr/13k miles and it is a warranty item. Dealership was great, but due to how its built they needed it for a day and a half b/c the headliner needs to be dropped along with both a/b pillars due to bolts/screws that need to be accessed under there. crazy design! I had a loaner for 2 full days so I'm happy.

I have some pros & cons. I'm a fan not a fan-boy so one is the noisy seat [intermittent] next delaer issue. Also feel an integrated garage door remote in a $38k vehicle should have been standard equipment. A bit more room behind or under the rear seat would be appreciated. Approx 85-90% happy overall...

Not a huge deal, but I'm with you on the garage door opener. The Hyundai Santa Fe SUV I traded in for this was the same price range and it had 3 controls.

1000 miles into my first Ford truck ever, I like it a lot. Ride quality is very good, for a truck. The seats don’t hurt my back. Ergonomics are not as good as the 2010 BMW that I traded-in, but that‘s true of nearly every car. The Sync3 system is better and more responsive than I expected.

Favorite convenience features: Locking and unlocking from all four door handles, electric tailgate lock.

Wish it had: Killer organized storage beneath and behind the rear seat. Tacoma composite bed and cargo features. 5 TPMS sensor capability and rotating spare tire.

The good: Sufficient power. She doesn’t feel like a slug when you need to get moving/pass traffic on the highway.

The bad: Small fuel tank. Wish it had at minimum a 21 gallon tank.

The ugly: The first shift from 3rd gear to 4th gear in the morning or when the truck is cold. Has enough of a lag that if you’re accelerating in anger you may eat the steering wheel as she hunts to find 4th.

I have had my Ranger over a year now and I just noticed with climate control on and incoming cell phone call comes in the CC lowers the fan speed so you can hear and then returns after you hang up. Kinda cool as I have never noticed it before.

Is this when it's plugged in to the usb or just connected via bluetooth? I've never noticed this but I rarely connect mine through usb it's always through bluetooth. That's a nice feature especially for here where my fan is usually maxed out with this heat.

Good- engine, handling, interior comfort and towing. I love thos

Improve- my 1st gen Ranger had pockets in the bed to put two 2x6’s crossways to get a 4x8 sheet in without it resting on the wheel wells. I wish this Had it

Bad- on the first start of the day, the engine stumbles when in gear. Feels like I’m driving with an early emissions carb with the choke shut. Anyone else experience this?
