Interesting...you think that's an issue with everyone's truck? Or was something not totally buttoned up on yours?While changing out my bumper I noticed that the plastic that covered the driver side forward crash bar had scuffed the crash bar and it had rusted. Today I went about correcting that.
So this is what it looked like. Now that it's pretty visible and I'm hesitant to remove it for safety reasons, I had to clean it up.

After a simple wipe-down with spray cleaner:

I then hit it with some sandpaper to get off scalier surface rust.

Then some spray-on rust converter was applied (after a touch more sanding).

I then wiped it down with some solvent and sprayed it matte black. And then it started raining hard 5 minutes later. I really hope it stays covered enough to not get wet while the paint is drying!

The ARB bumper looks good! The Ranger is probably the only vehicle I think thr ARB bumpers look good on.
