Sorry to hear that, sounds like a serious miscommunication between Ford corporate and the dealership. Does this mean you'll be getting the VIP treatment from your dealer?I am a new member to forum and I would like to share my horror story so some others can profit from my misfortune …
I ordered my Lariat Super Cab 4x2 on 9/21/2018; the dealer submitted the order through the ROVP program. Over the last several months I periodically contacted the dealer to find out why I had not rec’d a build date and delivery date, the sales person at the dealer checked and was repeatedly told by the Ford scheduler the truck was not yet scheduled and no reason given. After joining the forum I saw that many members that ordered in August and September had build and delivery dates, but I still hadn’t. I went to the dealer today … and to make a 3 hour ordeal brief I came to find out that apparently a required order form was not properly filled out and the order was not approved. This deficiency was not reported by Ford to the dealership and apparently the dealer did not have a follow up procedure in place to check on ROVP orders. The sales manager corrected the deficiency this morning and I now have an approved ROVP order 3+ months after placing my initial order. Lesson for others is … if time passes and the dealer does not have a response from Ford indicating the order was approved, go to the dealer in person and have the sales manager look into it and don’t leave until the problem is resolved. I was told today that I could expect my Ranger by the end of March, 6+ months after my initial order was placed.
