Sync 3 issues?

Forgive me if its been brought up in another thread but nothing came up when I searched. Over this weekend my Sync3 started getting stuck on "prompt volume" when i connect my iPhone to CarPlay. Anyone else having this issue? A Co-Worker has a 2019 edge and started experiencing the same thing over the weekend as well. I checked Sync3 and my phone is up to date.

Delete Waze from your phone. That worked for me.

Having the same issue here with my 2019. Sometimes it will kick back to music volume out of no where

I actually just had this happen to me for the 1st time yesterday when driving with the Waze app open and phone connected to Apple CarPlay. Doesn't seem to do it in any other circumstances or apps open. I assumed it was the Waze app somehow glitching it.

If you're using waze for navigation you need to turn off apple carplay in the settings of the car. That way you the waze app be seen on the screen. If you prefer apple maps I recommend uninstalling waze. This is also true if you use the Alexa Ford app with apple phones.

You can also just initiate a call and hang up before it dials. Ive set my internet provider in my favorites for now, just for this, so nobody actually answers.

Try pressing the menu icon and make Siri to listen to you and than press it again to cancel her, this should let you l move your volume back again.

I use Android sorry. Side note: How many Miller Lites have you consumed?

Start a call and hangup immediately. This kicks the volume controls back in in CarPlay and should work in Android Auto as well.

Doesn’t android have voice activation like Siri?
