With the help of a good buddy and fellow Ford fanatic, I got my Draw Tite hitch installed, and assembled the bed divider I had cut the pieces for. And then he test drove my Ranger and liked it! He has a really nice 2017 F150 4 door 4x4 (and two Mustangs). It was a good morning!

Dove into the world of Forscan today and made the following changes -
1 - Bambi mode
2 - Parking lights as DRL (no more low beams, hooray!
3 - disabled the start up chimes - doo, doo, doo
4 - disabled auto stop start

All works fine and was easy to do. A lot of good information in the Forscan section here.

I've always wanted to mess with FORScan, and went as far as installing it on my computer. But I've never bought the dongle to connect to any of my vehicles. I'm interested in the first two things you've changed!

Installed some Kicker CSC67 6.75" speakers in the front doors today. I put these in the wife's Edge Sport last fall looking to fix a speaker buzz issue. Long story short, the Edge probably needs a new Amp (I didn't break it, just decided not to fix it), and since the factory Sony speakers are half decent, figured I'd see if these Kickers would do better in the Ranger.

They are a perfect fit! Use the same mounting bolt pattern and wire harness as the Edge, so they basically dropped right in. I personally think it sounds a little better. Definitely better/less-distorted bass at higher volumes. Regardless, it didn't cost me anything I hadn't already spent, and gave me something to do for a few hours ?‍♂

This worked for my XLT
2 changes in BdyBCM
You need to edit the ‘as built’
1) Find 726-45-01
Edit xxxx XXxx xxxx
XX to 7F

2) Find 726-50-01
Edit XXXX to 0886

That’s it. I did these in 2 separate steps after making sure I had a backup file.

I will have an issue with the hitch that's a little disappointing. It sits too far under the bumper and I will have to get another ball extension to work with it. I will probably grab a mild drop extension to help level the trailer however, so all is not bad.

Nice! I’ll give this a shot tomorrow. Before I just tried the dropdown.

Did a tire rotation and took the factory FX4 stickers off and put on something that I like the look of much better.
