I have the heated steering wheel on my Focus RS it's awesome. The person that came up with that should get an award. I would like to see it on the Ranger too, but its not a deal breaker.
Also remember that this is a first year model. I bet in the future they will offer upgraded trim levels like a platinum or King ranch or something. They have to leave some options for that.

This is only a suggestion
Spending over 40K on a Ranger, I would expect a few more options on the additions that are available.

1) Power Sliding rear glass
2) Bed Light Lights
3) Power Side Mirrors
4) Cordless phone charger
5) Lift assist on tailgate/Option to open from fob
6) 3-6 Switch Panel for accessories or make it easy for us to route our own.
7) 2.7L EcoBoost and only sell the F150 in the 3.5 and higher making all who want a 2.7 to purchase a Ranger
8) 5 year plan to change size of screen to the size of the Tesla or Ram
9) Slim down the size of the tail-lights, its height is outrageous, it might be the same size or taller than its cousin, awkward looking right now

Feel free to add some of your expectations! Again I already have ordered a Ranger and wouldn't have it any other way, maybe Ford is listening and will add these in the future to help future Ranger owners!
Agree and add Power Moonroof

And for us down south (Florida specific), we'd appreciate offering cooled seats and a chilled steering wheel options. A steering wheel down here can be almost untouchable in a locked car, even in the winter. And be very careful when wearing shorts (or a skirt) and sitting on a black leather seat, which is why I ordered the tan.

The worst burn I've ever had was from sitting in my dad's Malibu with light gray leather interior after it was sitting in the school parking lot in south Florida. I had cargo shorts on at the time and it burnt the back of both my legs. I've literally stayed away from leather interiors for the last 20 years because of that but the Lariat trim is the one that has the options I want like passive key, LED lights and B&O audio, so this might be the first vehicle I've had with leather. I plan on heavily tinting the windows, too.

Things I feel are missing:

-Truck-like exterior design
-Truck-like interior design
-6' bed option on 4-door model
-2.7L engine option on 4x4 model
-Greater payload capacity on 4-door model

The only thing that's going to sell Rangers over Gladiators is the price tag. The Gladiator is going to be insane with pricing, likely in F-150 Lariat territory.

The one thing missing is a cup holder in the tailgate! My son (99 Ranger) and I were sitting on the tailgate drinking a couple of beers, and he said "You know, they really should put cup holders in the tailgate"

My Tacoma has cup holders on the tailgate. It’s stamped into the factory plastic liner.

How about steps in the bumper like Chevy does. Never used them, but looks like a great idea.
I don't really like them. On a truck as small/low as a Ranger, they wouldn't be as useful. On the Colorado they aren't really big enough to easily fit your foot because of the height of the bumper so it's more of a gimmick than useful. They look odd in the 2019 Silverado since they are so massive, too. I don't see why you can't just step on the bumper or get one of those steps that swing out from underneath if you need some help.
