Got my first note from the bank saying they expect me to cut them a check within the next couple of weeks. Per the loan agreement, I'm scheduled to get 36 of these, but I fully intend to get much fewer than that. Per the spouse agreement, after it's paid off is when I can start considering accessories.
Well, I guess the "warden" has laid down the law it seems...will you be accelerating the loan payoff much sooner than 36 months? Perhaps to just 12?
A word of caution, stay away from all the mods threads, some posts can put you in the poor house!

Damn, if I had the agreement, we'd be eating ramen for the next two years and living in a box (or the truck) just to get it paid off faster...lol.

At the current rate, loan will be paid off in 21 months, no change in diet necessary. I'll temporarily move some things around in the budget (ramen for one meal a day), which combined with the tax return should get things paid off some time around September (+/- two months).

I think I'm safe on the mod threads. It's really cool to see how folks are dressing up their trucks, but I'm pretty simple and practical in what I want.

BDS 1” rear shackles and intrusion beams. Just need some upper control arms then it’s time to lift.

Hey Troy,

Not well versed in this, but is there any advantage to spacer blocks versus shackles for lifting the rear? Or more of a personal preference?

Thanks!

I asked that same question and it sounded like shackles are a little bit better. I have only used blocks and air bags in the rear of a truck for lift, so this will be my first time using shackles. These are supposed to also correct the pinion angle from lifting, which is the important part in my opinion. Here is the description from BDS website (the part number is 123109 if you want to check it out for yourself):

"BDS Suspension is now offering 1" heavy duty rear shackle kits for the 2019 Ford Ranger, designed to work with stock or lifted applications, this replacement shackle kit is designed for increased strength and improved suspension travel while providing an additional 1" of rear lift. These shackles are build from high strength 3/8" American steel, formed to fit the frame rails and a center support sleeve for additional strength and rigidity. These shackles provide 1" of additional rear lift while correcting rear pinion angle on lifted applications. Clear zinc coated class 10.9 hardware is also provided to complete the installation. Whether you're looking for additional rear lift or need to restore rear ride height after installing heavy accessories in the back of your Ranger like a camper shell, storage boxes, etc this rear shackle kit is a great option for you."

Thanks! I found them last night, takes some digging on their website! Let us know how you like them, might go that route in the future, hoping some rear leaf springs come out soon lol

Looks good Tom but how can you stand all those keys in your pocket? I mean that boat anchor of a fob is bad enough but all those keys would make my pants fall off lol

Nice! Did any of you go to one of the drive events Ford sponsored last year before the Ranger came out? We went to one and got to test drive a Ranger. They gave these out at the event...

I received matte black vinyl tailgate letter inserts today. I like that they only took a few minutes to install and I also like the subtle contrast with my Magnetic paint. I decided to get the vinyl inserts so I could easily ditch them if I get tired of them down the road and there won’t be any adhesive left behind. I’ve got dimensional matte black letter inserts on the way for the grille.

Got my CoverKing Neoprene seat covers today, hopefully the rears arrive tomorrow. Ordered from Carid.com, took a few weeks to arrive but I’ve always liked the fit of CoverKing products so hopefully it’s worth the wait. Will post some pics installed this weekend

Agreed, they are like the Costanza wallet of keys.
