Thank you!Try this:
Use Chrome and clear your browser cache
Go to https://owner.ford.com/
Log on with your creds. Then go to support -> Sync Software Updates -> let the page load for a a few seconds
It should say: Software update SYNC3 v3.3 is available!
can u tell us if there is a button on the front screen to turn of the screen? It still is very annoying to switch through 3 screens to get to this point if the screen is to bright when u drive overland at night. Turn it on again just with a touch would be useful. And afaik as a ex screendesigner it couldn’t be a challenge to make this sync thing just a very little bit more userfriendly, isn‘t it?It'll be available to anything that shipped with v3.2 software and later, including 19MY+ Ranger.

So, you're missing the 14G422 from the looks of it. That'd make sense. That contains all of the voice nav information for the map. Hence, when you're trying certain commands that require that data it can't access them and it kills the voice session.I can see the list of nav commands on screen. When I call for one the unit just reverts to what was on screen and nothing happens...
Not that I've ever seen. Usually that is reserved for a hard button on the IP when that particular vehicle requires it. The UI comes from a different team, I don't even own the voice UI other than some of the text that's displayed.can u tell us if there is a button on the front screen to turn of the screen? That's likely be a phone side thing. It'd need to send both the SMS and RCS messages and notifications over MAP to SYNC, similar to how Apple sends iMessage and SMS over MAP.Can someone with Sync 3.4 tell me if it is able to receive RCS text messages when paired with an Android phone? In Sync 3.3 only traditional SMS messages come through the system and all the new RCS messages fall off. Since all Android phones are moving to RCS texting, I sure hope Ford has put this into Sync 3.4.

I see lawyers not allowing that because of RCS multimedia capability while driving. That's a good point, but the Android Auto API is defined by Google, so maybe it is possible to allow text portions of RCS across without allowing multimedia. A full loss of text messaging functionality once everything moves to RCS would be a pretty big issue. It might be worth posting questions about this on an Android related forum or site, especially since @UofMEngineer seems to think control of this is on the Android side.I see lawyers not allowing that because of RCS multimedia capability while driving. I can report that by adding the 4U5T-14G422-CAC file the navigation menus now work just as expected. Also no longer noticing any stutters so far. I'm really enjoying the 3.4 update. It looks overall to be working more smooth. You and your teams did a great job on this! I'd buy you a beer if I could.Usually that indicates either a configuration problem or some issue with the language not matching the nav data. Shoot me a PM with a screengrab of the IVSU Versions diag screen.

From the SYNC side, it wouldn't show anything for multimedia. It'd be a blank message like an SMS with photo, etc. are now. The content from the message has to be passed over the MAP protocol. if SMS is coming but RCS isn't, then it's exceedingly likely the phone side app hasn't implemented the ability to send over MAP yet. And AA it could be different, but there are NHTSA guidelines to consider not running afoul of, and OEMs are rather strict, sans the Europeans. That's a good point, but the Android Auto API is defined by Google, so maybe it is possible to allow text portions of RCS across without allowing multimedia. Cool, glad it's working better now. Not sure on the display thing. I know they did change up the auto brightness and remove a control or two if I remember right. Maybe it turns on only with the lamps? I never bother with display settings as the defaults work well enough.I can report that by adding the 4U5T-14G422-CAC file the navigation menus now work just as expected. One observation is that under settings-> display, there looks to be an option for changing brightness but it remains grayed out when driving or parked. I can't remember seeing this in 3.2. Maybe new and not supported on specific vehicle model?
Do you know if they have changed the screen brightness when in reveres at night? The brightness of the screen is atrocious and ruins my night vision. Its the one thing I really wish would get changed.Cool, glad it's working better now. Not sure on the display thing.
