Got a link to both?

This is the right-angle adapter I used.

For the AA Wireless, it's a version 1 and now they're on version 2. However, I have a version 2 in another car and can probably test fitment.

Finally took the truck on a somewhat of a road trip. About a 3 hour drive to go to our SCCA AutoX awards banquet. I haven't hand calculated the fuel yet, but it was right at 26mpg on a coldish, windy day.

Yep, I park away from everyone else...

At said event, I did receive my trophy for the year... It's actually something I already put to use (helmet bag).

The truck isn't 'technically' due for an oil change, but I'll be doing one soon. I'll send some oil off for sampling. I am doing the same with our Maverick and just recently got a sample back from a 5k mile interval with the same 300v I run in this truck... Great results and I am curious on this upcoming change.

And since it's that time of year where I am not doing any racing, I finally decided to put together a sim racing rig. It's mostly built, but I am awaiting quite a few parts to get it all set up. This escalated quickly... Budget, that was blown quickly. :)

My left interior indicator start a fast blink... Later went away, came back, and is away and working properly now. When it happens, I get no blinker from the headlights. Yay, aftermarket parts.

I'm having the same issue with the left blinker, I have tried various things in FORsan with no luck. You mentioned its working now, how did you correct the issue??

@Nopalito moonlights at an E-Sim racing place. I believe he told me the rig there was $100,000. I can see how a budget wouldn't last long.

I got tired of having a cable coming off my AA Wireless adapter, so I ordered some right angle adapters and found a decent fit.

How well does that unit work? I assume it just provided the wireless connection? No added featured over the wired method?

I had to connect the battery power to it. It stopped doing it after that.

Yeah, they can add up... But don't think the wife would let me go that far. She just told me when I decided to build this, that she didn't want to know how much it cost. This includes building a new computer.

It works great. I've got 3 of these now and 1 of the new models. It's supposed to do more, but I just use it as an easy wireless Android Auto that comes on and connects without me doing anything.

They are supposed to work with Carplay now as well.

Fuse 19 or 24. "24" is supposed to be the fix per Morimoto.. Did both, no change. Thanks for responding.

I ran my power into the car and used a fuse under the dash. I did not like fbekr implementation under the hood.

Doing truck stuff? :p

Coming up on an oil change, where I will take another oil sample from. Also going to put on a new transmission pan and change out the fluid. I need to re-grease the slip yoke as it's warmer out again and I feel it catching when stopping and taking off. Still irritated that a new vehicle (under 10k miles still) needs this done.

I figure I'd start a "build" page here since despite my best efforts, I am adding more to this truck than the adult in me knows better than doing....

I've had my truck for 6 months now, which is a 2022 XL STX Supercab in Cactus Gray. I bought this truck to replace my Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD for daily and tow duties (which had replaced my 2001.5 Cummins), however, it hasn't completely worked out that way. I've continued to use the Jeep because it keeps kicking along, now at 240k miles, towing cars, SxS's, and more recently a tractor, regularly, as well as pulling trees down and stumps out of the ground... It appears I'm comfortable with the damn thing. That said, the truck hasn't seen a lot of use mostly because the dirty work I am doing is easier for me when it's not a new vehicle. :)

Ultimately, this will be a street and tow truck. Since I can't leave anything alone, I will still modify the truck and track it here!

Getting on, here are pictures the day I picked it up from Granger, in Iowa after a 6 month wait:

Almost home:

Home (we moved into this house weeks prior):

1677645180069.png

The RZR actually matches pretty well :)

1677645192800.png

First part I added, I don't have a picture of... The ignition key trim seemed like a must. I got plain black... But right after that, I had the bed coated in Line-X Premium (and a damper... <insertstupiddamperjokehere>):

1677645301432.png

And added the Ford toolbox. It was like $12 with my Ford points:

1677645342421.png

Next was a Bakflip cover:

1677646694047.png

I'm getting older, so I wanted to see if the engine cover helped with noise reduction. It does enough to make me not regret the purchase and I got it before the price hike.

1677645527575.png

After driving it a bit, my wife struggled to get in and out of the truck, so even though I don't like the look of runner boards, I picked up some of the slimmest ones I could after some research on these forum. Amazon to the rescue:

1677645621702.png

Now to some of the more interesting parts. Before I even had the truck, I had already purchased Morimoto headlights, Diode Dynamics fog lights, and a Mountune intercooler.

1677647722409.png

Removal of the stockers:

1677645812402.png

Morimoto's installed... Also put in red tow hooks so I could use an actual FX4 skip plate:

1677645883982.png

Diode Dynamics fog lights installed w/ fresh clear bra:

1677645979415.png

1677645898301.png

I'll have to do an alignment and get some better shots, but a quick alignment with tape from the stock halogens:

1677646042111.png

I have also replaced the license plate lights and side markers with LED's (I'll do the high mount lights when I do the brake controller):

1677646747339.png

Mountune intercooler installed. I did have to purchase a few things to make this an nicer install. I purchased some expandable 1.5" foam tape for the bottom of the intercooler (like stock), longer screws for the upper plastic shroud, and PROPER T-bolt clamps. They include crappy worm-gear clamps... This is where I currently am, waiting on the clamps to arrive. I have no plans to do an intake or exhaust. The intake bang-for-buck is very low and I don't want any noise from an exhaust... I've never really liked loud cars, as even my toy and track cars are all pretty quiet.

1677646189907.png

Prior to these parts and immediately after hitting 1,000 miles (just to make sure everything works as it should), I did start taking logs as well as did some transmission tuning. I could not stand the lugging of constant too high of a gear, and I wanted to firm up the shifts a bit. I have only tuned the transmission at this point:

1677646857782.png

1677646838227.png

Before/After WOT shifting:

1677646925316.png

That catches it up pretty well so far. I still have a pretty good bin of parts to install, so I will keep it all updated here.
Hell yeah !
Mod it till the $ runs out !
