Quick question. ?

I plan on going no more than 4000 miles (Ish) between oil changes.
Therefore, a standard Wix filter should do just fine? Actually have a Motorcraft ready to go but just in the very near future I may try a Wix.

I usually run Wix xp, motorcraft, or the amsoil filters, just depends on what I can get my hands on without too much hassle. I go 5k between changes and they all seem to do just fine.

most likely I’ll just stick with Motorcraft but I watch Vice Grip Garage…sometimes I want to represent the wix-ey! ?
Haha, I also frequent Vise Grip garage, May I recommend, Andrew Camarata, DieselCreek, Waldo’s World, and Watch Wes Work. Great Great channels to watch as well. Rural Vermonter is pretty good too.

Hey my 05 taco went 250k using mostly fl-400 and 400s filters on pp 5w-30, before head gasket failure.
Average oci was 7.5k

I used anything from a non Fl1a down to a 910s if it fit good enough.

I change my oil with fully Synthetic every 10,000 KMs (6k Miles) with the WIX XP filter.

Motorcraft OEM is less than $4 on Amazon...

I don't have experience with Wix other than that they make great suppressors...

I never have a problem with Amsoil, I buy it direct from their website and its on my doorstep in two days. And they carry Wix filters :)

I may try a new garage and I worry (paranoid by nature) that if I bring in Amsoil oil they will hoard it for themselves. ?

that’s why I should go strictly Royal Purple so I can at least tell if they changed it or not. ?

Also debating switching between Wix and Motorcraft oil filters so I’ll be able to tell there too. Paranoid much I am? ??

I've heard crazier automotive stories than one's paranoia lol
