Tell that to all the owners who had to have their frames replaced......Tacos dominate do to build quality. Toyota always has.
Any frame can be bent from abuse even Toyotas, unlike the 700K Tacomas that had theirs turn to dust. Yea...do (sp) to build quality. The colorado has had bent frames, the wrangler, the gladiator, f150 so on and so on. They all bend if you do shit they wern't built for.
A long time Toyota owner and advocate - 40+ yrs tells me 4Runners are built in Japan and have superior build quality, I think that is reflective in some of the initial quality surveys, plus 4Runners are generally in the the top ten longest lasting vehicles - Toyota has several in the list - Sequoia, Highlander, and maybe Tundra.Tacos dominate do to build quality. Toyota always has.
To be fair, the Tacoma frame issues were inadequate rustproofing on 1st and 2nd gen model frames through 2010, which made the frames vulnerable to rust perforation in snow belt states.Tell that to all the owners who had to have their frames replaced......
It was my understanding that it was a mix of poor metal and having the cats too close to the frame/not shielded enough. The cats would more or less overheat the frame and the constant heat cycling every time it got driven over time more or less weakened that area, leading to it rotting through first. To be fair, the Tacoma frame issues were inadequate rustproofing on 1st and 2nd gen model frames through 2010, which made the frames vulnerable to rust perforation in snow belt states.
Do you plan on going for an engineering degree once you get out of high school? And unlike Fords and Chevys they don't start falling apart after a year.
I've seen NOTHING constructive, coming from you, to this forum. Welcome to ignore......And unlike Fords and Chevys they don't start falling apart after a year.
