Woodworking is a big escape for me from work and life stress, let's see your handy work, new tools, and if you have a pic and or a story of your worst work lay it on us.
I just ordered this monster of a sander from Acmetools. Com.

DANG Phil....that's a heavy table!!:shock::LOL: I see you like clocks. I am a piddling woodworker. Nothing too detailed. I don't have all the fancy stuff...yet. Finally got a table saw a few years ago. My S-I-L does a real good job at it. Will have to get a few pics of his work.

Hi Doug,

Thanks! I have been the repair and restoration of clocks for 43 years now as a side business. All the clocks you see are but a fraction of the clocks as I have over 200 in my collection. Darling little wifelet gave me one wall on which to display clocks... The clock in the center of the table just above is a Vienna Regulator made about 1870 by a clock maker by the name of Zschimmer, who is listed in the Vienna Clock guild. The clock was found in a chicken coop all busted up...Took me over a year to hand craft the missing moldings etc. Repairing the movement was duck soup compared to the case restoration.

I work with wood on occasion. However I am pretty much limited to straight or angled cuts. So I pretty much stick to minimalist stuff. Hell I didn't even do 45 degree cuts for my desk trim lol

I'd love to get more advanced, but there are not enough hours in the day with all the other projects I take on.

Only pictures I could find were some old ones from last year when I was building it;

Nope !

But I truly admire those of you that can turn wood into works of art, and function.
I have worked with plumbing, electrical, , automotive, boats, ect, but I can't saw a piece of wood without a saw guide.
A thumbs up to all of you ! :like:

One of the primary reasons I wanted the supercab over the super crew was so that I can haul longer boards, as a lot of the wood I get is 10-12 feet long.

I do some woodworking on the side, mainly 18th-century reproductions. Attached are a few photos. of some things I have made.

What is now many years ago, we had an entertainment center that had pocket doors to conceal a 36" tube tv. I wanted to get a widescreen TV, and my wife told me the only way we could have one, is if we had the same style of entertainment center. I accepted the challenge, and here's what I built.
