A ferocious as Cheech sounds (and he sounds like he'll shred you if you let him - typical Chihuahua gonna-eat-you-if-you-look-at me attitude), he sure is a wienie when it's snowing.

Even with his Hurtta Expedition parka from Finland, he didn't even make it out of the driveway!

oh noes dad, 2 inches of powder, brrr

The boys enjoyed the snow that we had 12-25-23 & 12-26-23, but when the bottom fell out of the thermometer and it was -26° with a -46° wind chill, they weren't so eager to be out playing.

Some dogs eat, breath and live for snow. Don't want to come back in (old pics, she's gone)

Mine love the snow, it's the brutal cold that they don't care for (neither do I)

LOL, mine loves the cold from an indoor vantage point! I was proud of him post-holing through a neighbor's yard (only because it was the fastest way to get back inside). =D

By post-holing, the snow had a thin crust and was only 4 inches deep, but when your legs are only 5 inches long, the struggle is real! =p

After such an ordeal (more for me getting his giant coat on for all of a 5 minute walk), he preferred eating beef jerky in his 85° heated bed! =D

A dog's life and don't we love them all! =)

We had a trails meeting yesterday and invited mutt- n-kids. I couldn't get pictures of everyone but had about 8+ kids and 10+ dogs in attendance. All free roaming and socializing. Some kids faces got smores licked off.

Few weeks ago , Jada was outside going crazy ? and came in with hair all poofed up like she was fighting something and she had a pretty good wound , so we assumed she was attacked, but no offender was around , checking her over REALLY WELL expecting more but not another scratch . The meat flap, upon redneck vet examination, was a perfect fit ? and no bite marks . I think ? she ran by something and ripped it ( shelter said she is a "Mountain Cur" which I have never heard of , but she is the fastest damn dog i have ever seen ) anyway , actual veterinarian said it would be "surgery" and wouldn't just stitch it... $600.00 worth...

I once had a lab who was so excited to see me come home from a day of brush hogging that she climbed over our chain-link fence.

When she did she caught her belly and had a wound similar looking to your pup's.

A clean tear with a flap and she didn't even yelp.

That was way back like 35 years ago and I think the vet was $35 ...

Hope Jada makes a speedy recovery! =)

Mutts out with us today. Only two of them are ours and some we've seen some before. No kids ours, just some from the neighborhood. Socialized dogs and kids are fun to have out.
