Damn , when I took this the other day I didn't know it would be our last ride together, Mr Pickles laid down in front of the door the day before yesterday and just died , and some of me with him , good friend and will be missed, already is ... I AM NOT handling this very well...

Sad you learn of your loss of your companion. It hurt when I lost Newton so much I have never recovered to this day....

True. I have shed more tears over the dogs I’ve lost than people I’ve lost over the years. Dogs maybe man’s only true friend!

Here is my memorial to my dogs. I have their ashes(half) here. The other half in the ocean. The light remains on always so they know where home is.

Thank you Tracy , and everybody else ... was at the casino the other night and started saving scraps to the side and wife asks "are you saving those for Pickles ? and i was without even thinking about it ... nobody cares when i get home now (i get home 3 hours before wifey) no one happy to see me like i had been gone for years not hours ... less than a year ago i had 3 doggos , now zero...
and i NEVER want another one , EVER!!! ... If i go to the pound and look for a new friend , ill come home with 20 of them , but if another stray shows up (Mr. Pickles was a stray) then they are welcome to hang here and see if they like it ...

I know the thought of going through that pain again. But you obviously have a big heart for dogs as do I. Think of the happiness the dog experiences because of your kindness and love. Give some time but don't rule out that big heart and the chance of another dog experiencing what you offer. You're certainly one of the good ones.
