Today is going to be a tough day.

I took this photo on the 20th. On the 21st the veterinarian said it's time for her to see what's next. We have a vet making a house call to euthanize our poor girl at the house in three hours. My wife is going to be an absolute mess. But we take solace in knowing that for 12 years, she had an absolutely fabulous life and was happy and comfortable.

OMG, so sorry to hear that. I know the pain all too well. This deeply saddens me. A beautiful soul.

That's the best gift she could have ever had, many dogs don't get that lucky, but many do. Always a tough time but she gave you many great days and visa versa...

I always say I won't get another dog when these times begin... life would be easier and more convenient.. then I realize how empty the house feels without those characters and I get another one, or two, to save...

Hi Joe,

I lost my dog and it was so painful I decided to never have another dog. So now I have a Sonoran Desert Tortoise that will live to be 100 or so...he is only 15 now... He will outlive me for sure....

Ride in the truck...yes... but with head only 3" off the ground....not possible for widows down....

yuuup she is both her and my last dog had free use of the house and was allowed where they wanted to be im not one that keeps them off furniture lol

funny part about that night is i was in vr while she was sleeping (thats when i took the pic) she woke up a few hours later as i was chilling on my bean bag as i was still playing the game and she crawled on top of me and fell back asleep so i couldnt play my game anymore and had to wait for her to wake up and go back to the couch lmao

Reminds me of a story
There was this old man that every day would go to the corner store and buy a can of dog food
Finally one day the stores owner told the Harry (the old man) that if he kept eating dog food it would kill him
After a while, Harry quit coming into the store
One day Harrys wife came into the store and the stores owner asker her where Harry had been
She replied sadly, Harry died
The stores owner replied, I told Harry if he kept eating dog food he would die,
She replied, that's not what killed him, he was laying on the drive way licking his sack and I backed the car over him...........
