LOL, little Kota wil do that too. And Kate lays on the sofa to elevate her bum leg (thanks, cancer) and when she gets up, he runs over to take her spot!

But, that's part of the joy of them. =)

I'll share Maeven's pic with Kate, it'll put an ear-to-ear grin on her face (mine too, she's a cutie).

When I built a simple platform for the back seat (SCAB), I fount that 2x10 blocks were the perfect height to match the seat pan height if you put a strip of 2x2 along the back of the seat pan (bottom seat cushions removed) . It’s just a simple matter to fit a plywood platform with the blocks at the front And the 2x2 at the rear. You can leave the space over the hump open, the blocks only need to sit on the floor boards.

I covered the platform and supports with cheap carpet from Home Depot. Just fold it over a staple it down on the backside.

I made one of these for my f150 screw, carpeted it, allowed my dog to have a good flat stable spot when we went for ride plus it protected my truck seat from claws.

LOL, you my have seen the Kota pic before, but it's gonna be a new meme for me for stuff like how I feel about today's temp in New Hampshire!

I've lived in Miami, Galveston, Texas City, Houston, and Dallas but 100° in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, c'mon! =p

35 years is pretty legit, Doc!!!

¡Óyeme! =D

Kate grew up in Miami (Coral Gables) from 1955 to 1988. And then back again with me from 1993 to 2004.

I had my fill of that humid heat! But I do sometimes miss stone crabs. =)

North Florida can be nice, I spent several summers in Panama City.

Before I was a twinkle in anyone's eye, my father was stationed in Pensacola on Navy subs in the '50s.

Wow, you may have known my father-in-law. He's passed now and retired in the late '90s but had a reputation as an orthopedic surgeon. He was the surgeon for the Dolphins and also did some TV shows, and a professor at UM Med School.

See if this name rings any bells - Dr. Ledford Gregory.
