Seriously, they are outstanding examples of the breed.

Please meet "Andre", he is a 6 month old male Frenchie who currently resides in Las Vegas, he is undergoing rabies vaccinations and blood titer testing before he can be rehomed in Hawaii.

Once he gets the go ahead from Hawaii's Dept of Agriculture, his breeder will fly with him to Honolulu in the main cabin of the aircraft, this is expected to happen by the end of October.

Hawaii is rabies free, the local government intends to keep it that way.

Andre is meant to be a substitute for Pierre, shown here in the bed of my 2020 Lariat.
I had to send him to the Rainbow Bridge last month because of lymphoma, I miss him tremendously...

I'm sorry to hear that you had to send Pierre across the bridge. Those are one of the worst days in a person's life.

It was the second saddest day in my life, the first was discovering my Father lifeless in his bed.

I'm a retired Firefighter and have seen countless tragic events in my life, the loss of Pierre was a personal tragedy which reduced me to a bawling fool for 3 days after I had him euthanized.

I went through 2 boxes of Kleenex in that 3 days.

Don't let the stoic, ruff 'n tumble appearance Firefighters project fool you, I certainly wasn't a poster child for that picture at all in those 3 days...

Yups, dogs are the only creatures I know of which you can get mad at and scold (but never beat) for doing something wrong, like chewing your pair of Nikes.

And yet a few seconds later they'll be by your side looking at you with their puppy dog eyes and tail going 180...as if nothing happened.

It looks as though Cheech has found his forever home and loving "pawparents", I salute you for rescuing him!

Whoever coined the adage about dogs being mans best friend sure got that right...

You know, we've found that brand to be the best life jacket for Cheech. We tried 3 others, one of which was $90, but this one (only $20) has worked so well, he never slips out of it and is easy to retrieve.

Cheech falls in several times per outing because he insists on going to each other's kayak constantly.

I loved the one (same brand) we had for our previous dog, but unfortunately it was too small. This one is good, but I miss the single handle that was 90-degrees and it lacks the D-ring for a leash. I like the one you have, although it looks as though it's for larger dogs.
