i went to a new car show and sat in all the mid sized trucks except for the Ranger. I could only look at it from behind velvet ropes. Did I fit in it better than a Taco? Was the interior trim made of nicer materials than the Canyon/Colorado twins? Was it a real truck and not some Frankenstein SUVish monster like the Ridgeline? Did it have a fresher design than the tired old Frontier? I was intrigued, but not yet convinced I had found what I was looking for.

A few weeks later, on November 10, 2018, I went to a Ford drive event to test drive the Ranger. I got a look at a red one as I waited with a bunch of other folks for chance to answer all my questions. I finally got my turn to kick the tires and check out the Ranger up close. As soon as I sat in it and adjusted the driver’s seat, I heard angels signing. Ok, maybe the awesome B&O stereo was on a religious radio station, but nonetheless, I was smitten. The Ranger checked all my boxes. After reaching out to over a dozen dealerships, I placed my order three days later.

The first picture is the Ranger I drove on that glorious November morning. The second picture is of my Oxford White Ranger basking in the So Cal sunshine.

I had been doing lots of research on the new Ranger as well as the Tacoma last year, knowing I wanted to replace my 2005 Ranger with a new truck. I drove the Tacoma and was less than impressed. After watching a bunch of Ranger reviews in December, I ordered my new Ranger on faith that it would be good. The reviews were very positive. I ended up test driving one in January when a local dealer got one in stock, and it clinched the deal for me. It confirmed I made the right choice.

After taking delivery and driving it for almost 2 months now, I can absolutely say I made the right choice. I love this truck. It is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. No regrets at all.

When Ford started taking orders I hit up my guy at a local dealership and told him I'd come take a look when they arrive if he was willing to order one I already built out on the Ford site. A couple of months later I got an email saying, "your new truck was delivered today" so I went to take a look. I was totally prepared to pass on the truck if it wasn't significantly better than my 2014 Tacoma, which served me well for 80k miles. Long story short I wound up buying the Ranger the following day and I have zero regrets 6 weeks later.

I was looking for something to pull a trailer. Originally looking at large SUVs. My son suggested I look at small trucks. Came to a point where I had to decide between a Colorado and Ranger. Since I was in no rush for the vehicle, and have favored Ford products over the past 60 years, decided to go for the Ranger. I just LOVE this truck :)

If only they had let you check out the first truck. They might have had you saying "Shut up and take my money!" that much sooner. :like:

I bought a 1973 Datsun PL620 because I wanted a smaller pickup. It was the very definition of POS.

When Ford came out with the Ranger ten years later in1983, I thought... Wow they really got it right.
That's when I decided on a Ranger!
I finally bought one in 1987, It proved me right... they got it right.
Again in 1992... right again and even better!
Again in 2001 ... right again and even better yet.

On the specs, and the foundation of that history...
Again in 2019... another perfect fit for an ever evolving lifestyle!

I’ve had a 1998 Ranger in the past, as well as being around several at work and in the family (at least 5 others that come directly to mind). I got pretty disgusted at Ford for hanging it out to dry towards the end. Then they acted surprised that nobody was buying it.

I spent some time in Africa and the UK and got to see what we couldn’t have here...Hiluxes, Navaras, and of course the beautiful T6 Ranger. I really liked the size of those trucks. Not the microtruck of the US Ranger and not the huge pig the F-150 is anymore either. That’s pretty much when I decided I needed a T6 style Ranger. There were rumors that we would see it here, and I was in college so I wasn’t in a position to buy a new truck anyway. Well now I have a job and a new Ranger

We bought 3 Rangers for my son when he was younger. One he wrecked. We bought him a Ranger Edge that we all loved. It was destroyed in a tornado. The last one lasted him a few years before he finally sold it. We bought all 3 of them used. They were excellent trucks. We hated it when they stopped making them here in the US. Then we heard they were going to bring them back in 2017. Nope. Then last year we heard they were coming in 2019. We were so excited. We bought tickets to the Orlando International Auto Show that would be in Nov. 2018. We went and test drove the new Ranger and fell in love! My husband made me wait till March 2019 to order it. Also, my main problem was just deciding on a color. They ALL looked great! We received our new Ranger June 5 and we cannot be happier.

My history goes back to buying a used for Ford Escort which we soon named the 4 Wheel Drive Escort because of the access it provided to remote areas of public lands. Anyway it was a very dependable vehicle for many years. When the time came to replace it i was able to buy new. Wanting that escort reliability in the form of a truck. I went looking for a truck in Dallas and found one on a mega-lot way way way back in the back of the back lot. It was the one Ranger on the lot I could afford a 99 regular cab red flare side. Drove it for for many years put a topper on it and drove it for many more years and became a big fan of the Ranger. A lady ran a stop sign and totaled it. Replaced it with a used Ranger but eventually sold it it because it was a standard and I began having knee problems. Eventually found myself in the current 2015 Colorado WT, which is a pretty dang good truck. Test drove the Ranger a couple of times and that was good enough for me to see the development over the years had been positive, and here I am a few weeks away from being back in the saddle riding the range with the old trusty breed as my new trusty steed.

I've always been a Ford man I had a 1986 Ranger in the mid 90's 2.9 v6 2WD short bed regular cab automatic and it would fly. I wish I had that one back I also had a couple of Bronco II's that where great vehicles and then I drove cars for quit a long time 02 ZX3 Focus and my last car was the 13 Escape that was my first special order car I drove her for six years. It was getting time to replace my Escape and of course I knew that the new Ranger was starting to roll out to the public so as I always do before I buy a car I researched it. I always know more about the vehicle I'm going to look at than the salesperson does I think it gives me the edge. At first I was looking for a Ranger in HPR but my dealer didn't have any and they where having trouble keeping Rangers on the lot. My wife called our guy at the dealer on the last Friday in March and he said they just got in a Shadow Black Ranger and my wife told him to hold it and we'd be there the next day Saturday. I wasn't sure about black but I wanted to see it when we got there Saturday afternoon there she sat all gleaming in the sun and I fell in love with her. We took the Ranger for a ride and the wife drove it to and I was hooked. After about a hour of paperwork we drove home in my knew Ranger and I've been happy with her every since. Just one thing every time I was her it rains the next day but I guess that's life lol.
