i'm installing a 3' leveling kit from www.fordrangerlifts.com but am waiting to buy new wheels and tires. I was thinking about putting wheel spacers on to widen the stance a little bit just to hold me over for the next year or so while i save for aftermarket wheels and tires. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks much in advance

i'm just curious, do you do that to make the truck less of a tipover hazard, (something I have concern about) or is it more just for looks?

Does the side of your truck get dirty from spray a lot easier? Sincerely interested but don't know much about it.

I suppose it’s less of a tip over hazard, but I never really pushed it. For me, it fills the wheel well and makes the truck look a little beefier. I do get some minor streaks from spray along the side panels, even with stock mud flaps. I think it’s from the aggressive tread on the sidewall because I haven’t heard rocks nor are there any scratches.

I got mine because I like the look of the tires flush with the wheel opening.
Yeah I like the look too. I was going to go with a 285/ 65/ 18 general grabber.
They say that size should be fine with a 3” level but I’m still trying to be sure.

I used 1.5” spacers from lugnutguys. Went back and forth between 1” or 1.5”, because I was worried 1.5 would be too aggressive/wide. Glad I went with the 1.5” though.

I went with 265/70/18 with 3” level. When those tires wear down I’ll be going 285 because the 265 are a little too skinny for me. Only reason I did this size was to help with mpg and performance because those 285s start to get heavy

Are either the ActionFab or Bora spacers hubcentric to the factory wheels? I'm going to try and hold off on any wheel/tire/lift mods for a while but really like how the spacers improve the track width and appearance.

I tried to get some bora but couldn’t find any in stock so I went with a brand called BloxSport, they look the same as the bora and use the same material.
