That's no joke, the drop bears are scary, quite a few tourists get taken (in) every year. Not To mention those ferocious Drop Bears.![]()

Probably more likely to spot a Yowie, aka Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti / Abominable Snowman etc than a drop bear, although both allegedly live in the forests around here. ? We're going camping in the heart of Yowie territory about two hours from here, this weekend, I'll keep my eyes peeled. Not To mention those ferocious Drop Bears.![]()
You definitely have a point.Probably more likely to spot a Yowie, aka Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti / Abominable Snowman etc than a drop bear, although both allegedly live in the forests around here. ? However if legends of such a similar animal persist in so many different and isolated continents, and cultures, you do have to speculate if there may be some truth in it. We didn't bring it to Australia either, the Aborigines have a long list of names, depending on the area for the same creature going back for thousands of years. There are even rock paintings depicting them.
