Water in the lines makes a ton of sense. How it wasn't caught... well. I feel like a king draining my little Porter Cable pancake after every use. ?

You would have to feel it or hear it. If the road force was ok they wouldn’t break down the tire. I would also add everyone has a different “acceptable” value for road force.

It was good catch. Not something you would generally go for.

Update: Got a call from the dealership. Apparently they have resolved the issue...by balancing the wheels....which revealed that one of the tires had water in it...

The Ranger does ride better. The shimmy doesn't appear to be there. Still, I am not totally sold on this, but will get a better feel over the next couple of days...
Update:
My drives to and from work the past couple days have revealed that the shimmy is still there (again, starts up around 55 mph). I have taken @airline tech 's advice about rotors and have ordered a set along with new pads (went with the Raybestos Element3 set from RockAuto)

Did rotors end up solving the shimmy. I'm trying to track down something similar after an accident where the rear drivers rim was cosmetically damaged. Ultimately I've replaced tires twice, replaced the rim as it was determined to be bent, have had alignment, and rebalanced 3 times. I still have a shimmy that I feel in my seat. The shimmy is random and isn't always there even at same speeds on same stretch of road. You've got me thinking maybe the rotor was damaged when the rim was impacted originally.

Sorry, I can't help.....I did not replace the rotors. After a couple of tire rotations, it seems to be better.
