So...I've upgraded my rear shocks to the 4600s, added a ASS defeating latching relay, added a throttle delay eliminator, replaced the DPMS device and my tailgate strut lift support will be here in a few days.

What's the next thing to make this a better 2021 Lariet FX4?

I'm thinking the Fitz stick or a tuner box. Do not want to mess with the engine at all.

Thanks

I would do both the Fitz stick and the tuner. The Fitz stick will be very helpful in keeping an eye on your transmission fluid and also changing it. The tune really wakes the truck up and also makes it shift better. The stick really should've been done from the factory!

Then add some Graphene for your detailing and your GTG!!

Sort of contradicting, do not want to mess with engine, but willing to put on a tune? For me even heavily loaded I have no issues with the power, and torque out of this engine being completely stock. Second the option for the Fitzstick best mod available for the truck.

Steve,

Without knowing a little more about you and what you prioritize, the world is your oyster when it comes to modifying your Ranger.

Here are a couple of the major areas and a few examples of each:

Performance Modifications (taking into account you kinda want to stay away from these but thought I would list them just in case)
  • ECU Tuning: This is a popular modification for the 2.3L EcoBoost engine. A Stage 1 calibration/tool can add up to 50 rear-wheel horsepower and 90 rear-wheel torque, and it also improves throttle response.
  • Cold Air Intake: Upgrading this can add between 5 to 15 HP by allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently.
  • Exhaust System: A performance exhaust system can improve airflow, increase horsepower and fuel economy, and give your Ranger a more aggressive sound.
Off-Road Modifications
  • Suspension Upgrades: This is a critical area for off-road performance.
    • Shocks and Coilovers: Go for a matched set on what you’ve already started and with the rear and do the front of your truck (performance shocks and coilovers offer improved damping and handling on rough terrain).
    • Leaf Spring Upgrades: You can consider options from Old Man Emu, Tremor, or Global Leaf Springs.
    • Control Arms: Upgraded upper control arms are beneficial, especially with lift kits.
  • Tires and Wheels: All-terrain tires are essential for off-road adventures, and new wheels can improve both performance and aesthetics.
  • Bumpers and Bull Bars: Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, bull bars, and grille guards provide increased protection and can accommodate accessories like winches and additional lighting.
  • Lighting: Upgrading to LED light bars and fog lights will significantly improve visibility during night driving.
Other Notable Modifications
  • Bed Accessories: Tonneau covers, bed mats, drawer systems, and swing case toolboxes can enhance the utility and security of your truck bed.
  • Interior Upgrades: You can enhance your interior with items like upgraded floor mats, seat covers, and so on.
  • Sound System Upgrades: For those who prioritize audio quality, upgrades to higher end systems (including DSPs, amplifiers, and speakers/subwoofers) are available.
  • Fender Flares: These provide additional tire coverage and enhance the truck's aggressive look.
Certainly not all encompassing, but gets going down the “rabbit hole”.

Best,
NOMAD
