Not sure what you mean by "avoid little pod lights"...Baja, Rigid, DD all make "little" pod lights and has all worked quite well for me...the ones to avoid are cheap Chinese lights that appear bights but have crap reflectors...they do a great job of blinding everyone but doesn't put the light where needed...
Do you have a nighttime photo of your multi pod setup? It's worth noting that illumination distance is not cumulative. 60 300 meter lights will provide an overwhelming degree of brightness at 300 meters, not effective illumination at further distance.

This is what you want:

Light x distance = reaction time.

Most people who haven't driven with effective lighting setups are amazed at how powerful aftermarket lights are. But that doesn't mean there's not room for best practices, or qualifying differences between mediocre and good products in the space.

Look at markets where lighting is legal and regulated for guidance. Australia is usually the best example.

Remember here the human eye is tricky. Putting a bunch of lumens right in front of it will contract the pupils, limiting the ability to see beyond that over illuminated area. In all cases, and in all applications, seeing further at night is what drivers require to increase safety.

I think I have a pretty effective set up...not the most expensive but effective...combination of Baja/Rigid and Diode Dynamics...

You're welcome to try my setup if you're ever in Montana.

Again, I'd encourage people to use brands who aren't lying to you. Look for distance at 1 lux. If a company cannot provide that number, they're selling image, not efficacy.

For some perspective, a pair of BD LP9s does 620 meters at 1 lux. The Lightforce HTX2s do 1800 meters. And the Lightforce's can maintain that performance continuously, without suffering the same thermal throttling issues that plague BD. That's at price parity.

I'm sure your set up will kick my butt...but can you beat this??

How much are Lightforce and Ultra vision?
I can't get Ultravision to respond to my emails about importing a set.

IIRC, the Lightforce HTX2 pair on the Cruiser were $1300.

(On a plane flying to MI to drive the Raptor R and internet is shitty)

Just watched TFL interview Ford's chief engineer about the new 150 Raptor...impressive...

I’m fortunate enough to have 6 aux switches pre-wired from the factory. After I get these in, I will assess other lighting “needs”.
Tremor I assume? Anyone know if Ford offers this as a "kit" to wire in to add this feature?

Yes, I have a Tremor. I don’t think the switches/relays and wiring is available. I would recommend one of the other aftermarket systems. Some are wireless (switch to relays) and make for an easier install. You also get different features - flash/strobe, Bluetooth, etc. all for probably less than the Ford parts would cost.
