Sounds like the perfect use case for an EV

I would love to see a midsize EV truck, but I don't think it will happen soon.

The Slate looks kinda promising, but RWD only is all that's offered initially.

There are rumors of an AWD version soon. That would certainly pique my interest.

Yup. Don't think Ford has any interest in mid size trucks and after the Lightning failed to launch.....

I'm not being facetious, I think OP should get an EV and rent a uhaul for yard work and the like. Keep the battery topped off and the EV won't see issues with 2k miles a year.

Got my truck back today. They replaced the HPFP under my 5/60 powertrain warranty. And a fresh oil and filter change. Will have to monitor the progress to see if that has taken care of the problem. The repair entailed removing the intake manifold so I asked if the tech could grab a couple of pics of my intake ports/valves to see what they’re looking like at 26K. He obliged so I’ve attached them. He also grabbed an oil sample of the 1000 mile test drive oil. They were looking at elevated level on the dipstick. I want to see what that oil tests at. The previous oil only had about 500 mile on it and it was at 8%. Dropped the sample off this afternoon so I should know next week sometime. I’m really fortunate to have a good dealer that works with me. Here’s hoping that this resolves the issue.
Curious for your thoughts on the intake images.

Oil sample for the 1000 mile test drive oil came back today at 6.1% . So now we’ll see what things look like after a few hundred miles on the new HPFP 🤞
