Technically got this in on Friday, and will be working this week to get it installed. Vixen Horns kit with a 3 gallon tank and 200 psi compressor. Papa happy ?

Lol no...I'm not one for train horns. But I am excited to have air for general utility use...and maybe a front air locker sometime in the future ?
Yeah, I'd love an on-board compressor to run pneumatic tools but Soupie's not a work truck and my body isn't keeping up with what my mind thinks it can do! =D

Take pics! Are you mounting the tank in the bed? I guess there's no place under to do so ...

But I did see an Aussie overlander mount one where the spare tire is but I never saw if his spare fit back there. Under the tub mounting? Not sure that's actually a thing! =D

So my plan actually is to mount it underneath with a mount I made that just clamps around the frame rail. the tank itself will be u-bolted to the mount, and the compressor will bolt upside down directly to the mount. If I measured right, there's plenty of space on the driver's side in front of the fuel tank. In the one picture, you can see parts of the mount that I made while I was testing the concept. Imagine that top bar extends in toward the drive shaft (I've checked, it clears lol) and the tank and compressor hang from two of those.

Well crap! This is something I'd love!

That mounting location seems so perfect! Sheesh, I guess I have another summer project coming up - and it looks like a decent price on Amazon too!

Thanks for the explanation and the pics and good luck!

For sure! And I'll be sure to get pics uploaded once it's installed.

EDIT: I just checked, and the tank takes up every bit of the length of that space going from the fuel tank to just above the transfer case skid plate...BUT IT FITS!!! I may have to cut off the legs though to preserve ground clearance.

Synetic tonneau cover with tracks and ladder rack for my bike and kayak. My truck is in the shop, but I will post pics of the assembly. Hoping to hit some rivers in NM, AZ, and TX after a little trip to Cali over Easter.
I need closed storage and roof rack uses out of the bed.

Nifty drill pump by Ryobi! =)

$39.97, free delivery (none in local stock), from Home Depot:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-1-4-Hex-Shank-Drill-Pump-RY31DP18/325087542

Emptied out my bladder, all 30+ gallons, and this little drill pump works great and doesn't need to be taken apart after each use.

The ShurTrax is a great way to add weight without tearing up your back or shoulders, if those are issues for you. I didn't need it much because we've had such a mild winter (I'm really bummed to not have used the tire chains, I even had a bigger kneeling mat for that). =(

And the 3 gallons of RV antifreeze did pretty much nothing for it. They say it's made to freeze, so I'll likely not add any next winter (plus RV antifreeze is meant to be used straight and I doubt even 5 gallons would do much - maybe let it freeze at 25° instead?!?).

came with this stubby hose

kept most of it out of the bed - especially considering there was RV antifreeze in the mix

Why don't you just pull the plug and use gravity ??

I didn't want to flood the BedRug (especially with our crazy bed rake) and there's no way I can slide that thing to the edge to drain it.

I suppose I could have manually syphoned it. My shoulders are in a bad spot and I'm doing PT twice a week for them and one knee (I'm falling apart fast and taking 3,200 mg of ibuprofen a day plus 6 Excedrin).

Plus, don't tell anyone, but I might like tools and gadgets. =)

Harness is extremely well-made. I chose the Molle attachment with split advance power supply to Run lights in SmaertCap, going to use power to charge Jackery while driving and then run 12 V fridge off that. If interested here’s a link to product overview.

PPE Deep Pan #328053600 arrived this afternoon.

PPE said this model is good for years 2017-2024. It replaces #328053100 which was available for some models from 2017-2020. The instructions were also fixed to show 8ft lbs for the pan bolts, instead of the mistaken 18-22ft lbs. meant for the drain plug.

The reason I went with the deep pan was because of my travel trailer purchase. Plus my truck is on 33’s and always has my bed rack/RTT mounted on it. I figured the extra fluid can only help once we hit the hot/humid summer months of South Florida. I’m also taking a trip to Oregon/Washington in August.
