Last truck I had that had a hitch, I covered the ball with a tennis ball.



People thought I used it to align it with a trailer, lmao. Didn't tell em it was to save my shins.

Picked up my 5g from the dealer today and washed it. Parked it in the garage. Transmission still in full Karen mode. Dealer says nothing wrong. Brakes still screeching and feels like warped rotors dealer says they are fine still in green whatever that means lol. And as I've added aftermarket shocks and springs warranty is void and they will not repair stuff. Not a good day for my 5g. ? of course im not happy but nothing i can do. Been screwed blued and ford tattooed. But i got a box of goodies to do maintenance on the 4g so it will cheer me up.

They have to prove the lift caused the problem. Can’t remember the name of the law off the top of my head. Challenge them on it. Others will know the name of the law that applies.

thank you. ive been that route with ford and ford dealers in the past. they have a team of lawyers that are ready for any and all challengers. they are already facing several class action cases on the 10r80 and not breaking a sweat lol. just the norm for ford and ford dealers. all a legal battle would do is increase my blood pressure and anxiety etc. to still end up losing. i might try a fourth dealer at some point but for now im ive had enough.

legally yes they do. but it makes no real difference.

Installed sound deadener today with the help of @ReigleCM. I’m impressed with how much of a difference it made. Now I want to install it in the front pan and the roof.

I did my doors and it helped. I have some left over and may do under the rear seat too. Good idea!

I used the remainder of chris’ kilmat and only 2 sheets of the Siles. I’ve got plenty to do the doors and might end up buying another box for the whole floor pan. I’ll have to pull the trip and the seats, but it’ll be worth it. Probably a long weekend job, when it warms up though because I’m sick of the cold.

I did the doors mainly to get rid of the tinny sound. I doubled it up behind the speakers and I think it helped the sound of the factory radio.

I plan to RTV the window seals/mirrors before I put my back through the hell off adding sound deadener to the body panels.


Gonna be a long as hell project.
