I have searched as well, if you look, the spring is already close to the frame, lowering shackles will only be able to drop it a small amount, but you found some for a 5G?

That’s not to lower your truck that’s a new rear bracket to help clear offroad shackles and such. Anything kartek is designed for heavy offroad use I ran them for my limit straps on my tacoma when I had extended travel

Have you looked at the rear suspension on your Ranger? The spring is inline with the frame. There is not much clearance between the spring eye and the frame. So lowering by using shackles is not possible. Axle flip or de-arching the springs is only way. Springs are pretty flat already when loaded.

Look at how much space there is for the spring to go up! NOT much! Can’t shorten shackles hardly at all.

After having this for a few days any buyers remorse or totally worth the money?
I like the idea. I wonder if the door leaks. I need a major prod to spend that much.

No buyers remorse as I had an intended purpose for the space and the build quality is exceptional. Being a mid-size truck, you gotta take advantage of all the little nooks and crannies of the ranger.

I am looking to hold recovery gear, GFC tent accessories (window guide poles), and other little quick camping accessories that I want quick access to. If you are finding yourself camping once or twice a month or you have some contracting biz you use your truck for then I would say its worth it.

For example I have a friend that owns a tree service biz and after seeing it they ordered one for one of their f-150s. Being able to plop down the tailgate, pull out their chainsaw tools and oil to do quick maintenance while having a nice work surface will save them time. They also dont run a topper on that truck, so being able to lock the storage area at night will be nice.

While a small win, I like the fact I can prop my knee of up on the tailgate without it being painful. Its also a nice little location to lock something in a pinch of your are nervous of thieves. While not a full on safe, its one of those out of sight, out mind things or security through obscurity.

For the money I do not see the value in it for the every day person that rarely puts stuff in the bed of their truck.

Per the leaking question, You would need to have your tailgate submerged up to the backup camera to start seeing water in the storage box. The storage box has a hole in the bottom to clear the camera. They provide a sturdy looking cap that covers it that they do tell you to put sikaflex on to seal it but I didnt.

They only issue I have had with it is the control rod to the passenger side latch. Product wise its fine but it take some tinkering to place these correctly so the latches lock /seat / unlock. For some reason the passenger side has a very very small success window. I think its more user error than design issue.

Anyone running a tailgate damper might as well pass. This adds some weight to the tailgate and I would question if it wouldnt blow out damper pretty quick.
