Does anyone else have any issues with the door seals? My door jam stays wet after rain like water is dripping and puddling up in this area. Trying to avoid future rust issues.

Fyi, it is still wet from a rain yesterday.

And here I am trying to remember when it last rained on my truck!
Best I can remember, no. Mine does not hold water like that, even after I just have run it through the car wash.

To the right of the door seal (plastic) it is dry. The left of door seal (the painted sheet metal) is wet. That kinda makes sense. I feel like after I wash my truck, the same painted sheet metal is wet. It is outside the door seal.

I almost positive mine is the same and I have some water spots in that area too. When it rains (or wash it) the water will run down the side door crease to the lower area. I'm guessing when driving it dries itself out and here it's so hot it just evaporates after washing it. If nothing is wet beyond the seal I wouldn't worry about it either. ?

It's painted and cleared like the exterior but you could always wax it every time you're doing the outside. This way it'll be protected and shouldn't ever rust.

As everyone else has noted, that is normal. The water will run in from the top of the door, down the jam (outside the seal) and puddle on the flatter areas.

That is why the car detailer guys/gals use those microfiber towels and wipe the whole jam all around as they move from door to door.

Generally, if you just do the door jam wipe down like the cash wash detailers do, even most the water spots will just wipe off.

I had the same question when I first got mine in 2019 and the dealer and guys here on the forum told me it's normal.
