I am! Went to the dealer......they ran my VIN and told me I was on the 'edge' of the recall. I informed them I received the notice from Ford about the recall. They said to check back in a couple months. Delay tactics!
On the edge as in with. The range or out of the range.

That is the only option for recalls.

Its not like Joe was doing his job in a crappy shoddy manner and all of a sudden decided to slowly get better at it so that recall isn't quite as important for the last 15 cars he did.... (yes, I know the recall isn't about Joe doing a job, but it's about the amount of sealent used)

They told me I may not need the recall done as there were new numbers on the VINs coming out. I'm not having any problems with my windshield so thought I'll wait.........for now.

Joe probably wasn't to blame .

One of the most common reasons that a robot doesn't do its job correctly is because a lazy maintenance tech re-programs a pickup or setdown point instead of tracing down the root cause . Then another tech comes along and does the same thing . I would constantly ask techs why they are changing the points on the robot when 9 times out of 10 it was a loose gripper , sensor , bad part or some other easily fixed issue that was causing it to miss its mark . A robot is going to do what it is programmed to do so find out why it didn't before you start changing that programming .

Ignoring a recall notice can be deadly!
My 2003 Ranger was in this recall, and it was a MAJOR pain in the ass to get it repaired. Our local Seattle Ford dealer Bowen Scarff Ford was ridiculous to work with. I used their website to schedule the recall repair, and they called me and shamed me for making it on a Friday because "Everyone goes home early", then cancelled it.

I had to try and try to get it done with them. I knew it was important so I persisted, but I have a speedometer one still lingering as I don't want to deal with that particular dealership again.

PS - I'm naming names on the dealership as I stand by what I've posted and think they are a fucked up shitty dealership. Have been driving 30 min to the next closest one since.

I had a couple of recalls on my Mustang. The first one the dealer sent a tech to my house to replace the part. The second time they replace the part when I came in to get the brakes serviced. Didn't ask, they just did it.
