Why do you think the IC needs a hole drilled in it? The condensation build up issue was pretty well isolated to older 3.5L F150s.

I would imagine not, the pressure is blowing out, not sucking in, it might however attract a bit of sand if oil is really leaking out.

While Ford was developing the RS they found it to be a problem with that car too, their fix was to put a blocking plate over a section of the intercooler to reduce its efficiency. If adding a weep hole was ideal I would have imagined they would have done that instead. While there is no boost, idle or deceleration, I could see the intercooler having some vacuum to it, I would not want any unfiltered hole.

No. This was an issue on older F150s with(mainly) the 3.5l, which was eventually resolved by ford.

Leave the IC alone. Pull the hoses off and check for water/oil build up, but I doubt you'll find any.
Ah heck, I wanted to say that, but ya beat me to it Jake.

No need to drill a weep hole in the intercooler. That came about the first couple of years the 3.5 EB was in the F-150 and water was building up in the intercooler.
No need to do this on the Ranger and it creates a boost leak.

Someone needs to be the first.
I say give it a shot. If it doesn't work out, just replace the ic. ?
