@AzScorpion - Do you ever look at these places and wonder about the people that traversed the land to get to the other side and survived?

(like going to Walmart on a Sat and trying to get past the electric carts of overloaded ??)

Terry, We do. ? When you look at some of these places and think back to when there was nothing but animals to ride and having to make you're own cloths it's hard to imagine how they survived but they did. I'm sure in a couple hundred years they'll be saying the same thing about us now. "How did these people survive driving those funny looking vehicles" as they're flying around in their personal space craft.

Last week when we were in Deadwood, I was wondering how people from all over the country found that place. And how long did it take to get there?

Hey Dave,
Hurricane has been on my retirement radar for awhile, La Verkin too. I’m now looking at Duck Creek/Glendale area east of Zion. I hear minimal snow fall there but the summer temperatures are outstanding!!! I’m still on the fence..

Hey Andy, Same here. We really liked this area the last time we visited back in the fall of 2020. Everyone we talked to that lives here seemed to really like it too. They said you get a "touch" of winter and even some snow at times but it's usually gone within a day. Summers are hot and dry (which I like) but they at least cool off at night unlike AZ where it'll still be 106 at 10:00pm. If I find out any good info I'll let you know.

Go jump in the Narrows to cool off. Wouldn't take much to get me to move to the St George area.
Me either Bob. I really like here in this area and St George is only 20 minutes from here. I'm hoping we can get an entry pass for Zion because they have the timed entry slots here too.
There's no timed entry for Zion. Only if you want to do Angles Landing you need a permit. I guess it was getting way to crowded and dangerous so they have a permit for just that hike now.

We got into Hurricane, UT about an hour ago and what a difference in temps as it's closing in on 100 now. ? We were getting use to the nice cool weather and even in Moab it was only high 80's with a couple days hitting 92 but nights cooled off nicely to the upper 50's a few nights.

Kind of a boring drive on I-70 but like most of UT there's some good scenery.

We got out of Moab just in time for this huge rain storm that was coming in.

Then it was mostly sunny the whole set of the way with a few spots of clouds but no rain. We got lucky through this whole trip as the only rain we had was either at night when we were in South Dakota and the one day we were with Mark @txquailguy.

Speaking of rain I always prayed for a nice down pour when we got close to home from a long road trip to get some of the road grime off before the good clean up.:)

I really want to do it but there's no way Annie can with her knee like it is. Besides she wouldn't even look out the window while off roading on the ledge the other day can you imagine me trying to get her up there? :surprised: She'd have a heart attack. lol

That usually helps or a quick hosing off if you don't have time to thoroughly wash it works. I heard the rain and thought great it'll wash some of the dirt/dust off my truck. Nope, it must have brought all the pollen out if that darn tree and made my truck a mess.
