I know there's showmanship and all, but that should've been a 2 minute video.
X amount of minutes, X amount of ads, X more amount of ad revenue for the channel. 11-15min is the latest sweet spot as far as I've read. It allows for 2 commercial breaks.

Thirteen minutes just to say, "your keyless entry fob is always transmitting and theives can record and duplicate the frequency to steal your car. If you wrap your fob in foil or a Faraday pouch they can't do it anymore."

I know there's showmanship and all, but that should've been a 2 minute video.
Thanks, I appreciate saving me 10 minutes (I watched about 2 minutes).

I think the danger is that they can capture your vehicle code and user information anywhere you go...airport, public places, etc...then hit your home later...that's where the Faraday pouch comes into play for protection...
I'm wondering if they can pull up next to you at a traffic light and capture the code.

There's only one way of making sure that doesn't happen. Drive without the battery in the key fob. It's possible. You have that key symbol in the cup holder. Place the fob there to start the vehicle. You just have to remember to take it with you once you get to your destination.

Majority of criminals are too stupid for this kind of hack.

Good video Sid but my only question is....Who the hell would want to steal a Tacoma? ?
Neighbor down the street got his 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro stolen overnight from the driveway about 4 months ago. No trace on where it was, even had some sort of aftermarket vehicle GPS tracking on it and nothing. Insurance adjuster told him the same thing as in the video that it was an organized crime theft and these trucks are prime targets and sold over seas. His insurance advised he get one of these pouches to keep the keys in any time he's at home. Messed up part is just a couple of weeks ago his Ins adjuster let him know that they got a GPS hit on the truck that it had turned up outside of Syria.

Very comprehensive video...I don't think this applies to us regular key version...or does it?
Thanks for posting this. I just ordered a Faraday pouch for the keys to travel with, and a Faraday box for home use. And I thought I was done with mods!
