my right rear tire has about 60 percent life left and my left rear is almost at the wear bar. is this ok to drive on? i just purchase the vehicle. previous owner must of had a flat or something. the front are almost brand new and so is the spare. its a 2020 ford ranger. thanks

It’s probably safe, but for how long? I would buy two new rear tires.

Always choose safety first eh. I'd pop into Discount Tire and see what they say, I know every store is different, but my local one always seems straight up and honest.

How many miles on the truck? Sounds like some creative tire rotating going on by previous owner or dealer. Maybe had a flat and moved the spare tho the rear. Then decided he couldn't sell with bad tires on front and spring for only two tires. I would get that mismatch off your rears, it is not doing your rear differential any good. If your luck you could match the fronts. Then, rotate then regularly to wear them even. If it's a 4x4 you want to keep them worn equal.

Personally I would probably buy at least 2 new tires for the rear(although I am ocd about things matching so all 4 would be ideal).

Have you had the alignment checked? Kinda sounds like someone did the rotation shortly before selling it. Seems sketchy if I'm honest.
