not debating tht fact, just seems like 1. most rangers delivered with too high psi..like way 2much. And 2nd seens to be debate as to what rec factory psi should be. Door sticker and ford app show much lower than a lot are saying in forums. I tried 38 way bouncy, tried 34 a bit better. Im at what i stated earlier an im happy with that. my Ram has 20's and 36 is the charm...

Just saying that if you're running 45+ psi and not carrying extra load, you're reducing your contact patch, traction and creating unnecessary harsh ride. Yes, if you're at max GVW then by all means pump them up to 80 psi to maintain said contact patch.

I'm completely aware of that. 45 psi however is not going to cause someone injury. Also I'm a powersports mechanic and constantly have sleds or atvs on the back and also often tow trailers. My point was 45psi is good for me and not at all dangerous. In fact I have always ran my tires 45 to 50 psi and never had premature wear to the center. Also I have never had a tire explode and cause harm to others. I realize the sarcasm but fail to find the point or the humor in it.

Bought my ranger last week. So far it is the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever been in or owned. During the test drives it seemed fine but after driving 30+ mins at a time it is just the worst.

I can not for the life of me find a comfortable seating position at all.

The suspension is like I am riding around a in a bounce house. I have never been in a vehicle so bouncy. Something else I did not notice when test driving.

Anyone else have these issues? I can deal with the bounciness but the uncomfortable seat might just make me get rid of it.

Not sure if you figured this out yet, but I had a similar experience with seat comfort. First longer drive and my back was aching. Never happened before in any vehicle and not prone to back issues. I found a wedge seat cushion at a medical supply store (mostly wheelchair and walkers) with memory foam. Not ideal for having to arrange each time, but no more back issues. Maybe the motorized seats could be adjusted better, but I have the manual seats and this has helped.

You probably don't have the adjustable lumbar seat?

Lumbar is adjustable and no position helped. I think its the angle of the bottom cushion that's not adjustable with the manual version. Though I could just get used to it, but every time the wedge is removed, muscle spasms return.

When I read this thread I am reminded of the bench seats in the seventies trucks which provided no support , no comfort, and only for and aft adjustment. My Datsun was so bad that the seat bottom actually tipped forward and I had to install a lift under the front bolts to prevent sliding forward on the seat.
Or the seats from prewar cars which were so soft that no trip was short enough to prevent back pain.
Now Like the princess and the pea, we must have heated, A/C , seatback with lumbar, lateral, tip control, height adj, head rest adj, recline, special fabric or leather, etc. Even tip/telescope wheel...

Wow what a manly thing these trucks have become!!!

Not so! Quite happy with my 4x2 ride (after 3" leveling kit was installed) and the comfort level. My wife has has rheumatoid arthritis and complained in my 2016 Explorer and she has yet to complain about the Ranger's ride.

so I’m pretty happy with the comfort level in my Ranger. Not one splinter so far.

Ergonomics is not always a good fit for everyone.
If you like the truck but hate the seats, find a good local automotive upholstery shop and see if they can rebuild your seat to fit your ergonomics better. It's extra cost, but well worth it if you really like the truck.

Door sticker says 2/19

I'm currently in the market for a 2019 Ranger and in my research, a lot of the build dates seem to be 1/2019. I came across one that was 11/2018. Yes, not a typo. November 2018. I have seen a couple with 3/2019, 6/2019 and 11/2019 but that's it.

I just went on a 2000 mile round trip drive. 12 hours straight each way.

it was waaaay more comfortable than any of my previous vehicles. My back never hurt a bit.
