My advice is to keep looking, if a Ranger is unacceptable you can bet there will be more aggravation on a regular basis about things that you can not yet imagine.

It looks like my wife and I may be relocating from Marietta, GA to Boca Raton, FL - and because of that we've started looking for a home on Zillow. Most of the homes we've looked at are in HOA/country club communities, and I've started poking around and reading some the HOA rules. One home we liked had an HOA rule of no trucks, vans, commercial vehicles in the driveway - including non-commercial pick-up trucks. So it looks like I need to measure the overall height of my truck and bring a tape measure with me to Florida when we look at homes. Arghhhhhhhhh.

Anybody here with a lifted Ranger able to cram their Ranger into their garage? I have a 3.5" lift and RTT mounted!!!!! I don't think mine fits in my current home's garage.

not my biz and my input has little value but -
im sorry man but do not let an hoa get your money or give you stupid rules. find a nice home outside of the shenanigans. the world has enough forced idealism and fake niceties. we had a case in dfw several years back where an hoa forced a combat veteran to take down his american flag and marines flag as it "offended members of the HOA". I am a pretty laid back guy but im sure folks can imagine how i felt about that case and how it would go at my home. your truck is not offensive. its a nice ride. practically brand new and not a cheap beat up eyesore. you can park it at my house all you want lol. if you and your family buy a home, it is yours and you should be able to park any car or truck you wish at that home. my home is not new or fancy at all. it is older than i am but my neighbors keep opinions and noses out of my bizz and i do the same for them. One guy im 98% sure makes moonshine in his back yard barn every winter and the lady on the other side sits outside every evening and smokes pot lol. I may not agree with either of those but i see it like its not my property and if they do not harm me or others or my property i have no concern or care what they do on the other side of the fence. When i was younger me and beer drinking buddies would cook out every weekend with the grill, smoker, and music going. they never called the cops or got offended, if we were to loud they walked over shook hands and said turn it down some. many nights they brought chairs over and joined in. simple, easy and no damn Karens taking my money. I realize hoa can have benefits like well kept lawns and property value protection from rednecks like me but i think making friendly connections with the neighbors works just as well. plus most cities have rules and laws about all the typical hoa frump like overgrown grass or junk cars clogging up the area. I just could not stand being told what I can do with something that is mine, we have enough of that already. esp something that costs as much as a home does. besides do you really wanna live next to a bunch prius driving tofu eating fruit loops lol
