Are you closing it with the gate open or closed? Mine would never latch with the gate closed but now it does after doing the following.

Roll it up and unlatch it, take it off and put it back on. Maybe that will be enough change for it to adjust the tension.
I've been doing it with the gate open. But it has latched while the gate was up and then popped open while driving.
I will try it!

WOW I had a dealer install my Truxedo X15 Lo Pro and it works like a charm with the gate open or closed. I do believe it does latch on both sides but the main release is on the drivers side. Two years now and it still works great.
One thing I forgot to mention is I do close the tail gate prior to latching down the X15.

Any help is appreciated! And yes, I did slide the rubber piece down after this video but it’s still doing the same thing.

I have the same tonno. With the tonno tailgate seal you should close the tailgate before you latch the tonno or else you bend the tailgate seal inward and the water will run under the tonno to tailgate seal, at least that what it appears to me anyway.

Maybe someone already said this but there should be a tension bolt up by the front (near the cab) which you can loosen and tighten.

I have loosened and tightented this a few times. Just playing around with different tensions and it still just pops open. Unless I am missing just the exact sweet spot with it.

Sorry, I don't have any other ideas.

Dang. Is the Velcro siding open when you adjust it? It shouldn’t be attached to the sides when making changes.

I always have it rolled up when playing around with it to fix it.
