So there are three that are trying to get to market apparently. PPE looks like they are the first and they have posted a price as well. PML and BlackGate customs haven't given any pricing info at all and don't appear to show them even available but PPE does.

Very nice...now I gotta get funds and a Saturday. :p

The only way i can justify the dipstick is getting the transmission pan with a drain plug. Why you might ask? Simple drain and fill service. That is why.

It's nice to see these coming online, I'd probably consider one of these to replace the existing plastic pan. The PPE one holds more oil than the stock pan, which is nice since you'd be changing a larger percentage of the oil with each change. It will be nice to know if they for sure work well on the Ranger. While it's the same basic 10R80 transmission, sometimes there can be small customizations between vehicles due to various constraints.

Ok An update on tranny pans. PML YOUR COVERS.COM has 10 prototype, they put one on an F150. And they have a video of removal an installation. The F150 has a crossmember, exhaust and transmission cooler, to be removed just to remove the pan. The Ranger is all open, siphon as much fluid out as you can an drop it. PML pan holds 1.9 extra quarts. You can get one of these pans for $195.00. But you have to do a write up on removal and installation with photos within 30 days. If you don't within 30 days they charge you $395.00. Or if you don't like it or your not happy with it you can send it back free of charge. $395.00 will be regular price once full production starts. I have one on the way but I don't know how many they have left. The 10R80 factory pan has the same part number all across the board.

The only thing i dont like with their pan is the fins are only stubs. The one from PPE has more effective fins and is a lower cost than PML.

If I wasn't getting it for $195.00 I would go with PPE. But it dose hold a little more oil. And I still can send it back.

Anyone else have 50 thousands miles on their Ranger? I do...zero problems here...
I'm about to hit 30K. No problems yet but I do plan to change my fluid sooner than recommend because why not. Having the pan and dipstick as a combination will be nice for just that as well.

Ford says to remover the pan to drain(unless you have a drain plug or a way to psiphon the fluid out). After that fill with 5 qts(if factory pan)then warm the transmission to 200-208°. After that check the level and adjust as needed.
